ReplyDeleteChère Carol, What memories L'Alliance Française has for me! I spent the summer of 1968 in it, shelving French books, to pay for the French lessons that my Grand'mère's friends gave me all summer. They wanted to help moi, the 'uncultured and uncivilized girl from the Indian Territory' who had an 'incomplete college education'.I enjoyed the Boston area, went on to teach French for 20 years, taking dozens & dozens of students to fall in love with the country of France, just I had done!
ReplyDeleteYEAH !!!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Ron
