I noticed silhouettes in many vitrines.. Some are just flat cutouts like this swan... Or multi-colored as this bike shop... Posters have caught the silhouette tendance. And Paris graffiti is often in silhouette. Highly animated silhouettes in Camper's windows.
Yes, silhouttes seem to be experiencing a revival now. They're bold and a little playful. I especially love the quiant victorian ones, in fact just bought a pair on ebay!
Bravissima, congratulations on an outstanding photo essay that is more than a mere silhoutte, but full of life and nuances!
I imagine Paris as a big swimming pool, and you are the big fish in it, nibbling at all those tiny fish swimming in there, whatever they may be, and be they silhouttes.
Annick Goutal's "Les Nuits d'Hadrien" is my favorite parfume. May I ask you to please return the little "c" to her first name? I want her to be happy. ;-) (Her daughter, that is.)
I'm new to Paris Breakfast and am truly enjoying it. I spent a month in France 2 years ago and am still in love with the thought of returning. Thanks, Mary Jo
I paint Paris dreams and mail ๐ฎ them ❤️ wherever you are ๐ Receive an illustrated letter ๐ every month from Paris, France ๐ซ๐ท Hi, I’m Carol Gillott, watercolorist ex-NYer living on Ile St-Louis in a 20 meter chambre de bonne sending out Illustrated letters monthly from Paris. A travel artist, travel blogger, writer, watercolorist, photographer, I share my personal travels experiences so you can travel vicariously through my sketches and words.
Describe what you love about France in 3 words. Can we make it 5 words? Eyes, ears, nose, tastebuds + brain. Paris stimulates all my senses constantly. I’m inspired all the time – endlessly surprised and amused. New York doesn’t do it for me anymore…

How do you manage this. I start to photograph a particular thing then forget what the hell it was I started photographing in the first place

I had a great time walking around Paris with you.
Your eyes are different of my French ones and it's very funny.
Beautiful. Makes me want to go put my hair up and make a silhouette of myself. Absolutely fantastic.
