Grand Prix - Hippodrome de Saint-Cloud.

 

On Sunday l joined a mass of painters at hippodrome de Saint-Cloud for an art competition. 

I’m crazy for the elegant, mystery Equestrian woman who prances out and inaugurates every race track.

Yesterday Bonnie said, “Have you been to the new Ritz Le Comptoir on 45, rue de Sévres?”

I said, “It’s 97 degrees out, feels like 103! No way I’m going back out into that oven!”

A Big MERCI a to Shannon & Vlady for reminding me in FEB-March to get a ticket to the June LONGINES Eiffel Jumping event. 

I did not get a ticket (too far ahead to plan). But I did write it ✍️ in my diary as a reminder.

It’s Sunday afternoon & sunny 🌞 An ice cream day.

Therefore le vrai Parisian will be making their ritual trip to rue Saint Louis en l’Île

On Wednesday I went to the musee d’Orsay to look at the Degas paintings on the 5th floor.

It’s a mixup of race horses (this one is mine)

What They Wore to the Worth Exhibit, Petit Palais

 

Friday I went to see the new WORTH fashion retrospective at the Petit Palais.

I was astonished by the contrast of modern dress and elaborate ballgowns of the 1880s.
