Le Festival De The

Rose Bud Tea
French Rose Bud tea, original watercolor, 9" x 11"
I bought this glass teapot and the rose bud tea in the Lafayette Gourmet tea department.

Kusmi at Le Festival de The While the 5-day Paris Salon du Chocolat was taking place, you could also visit the 3-day Le Festival de The and satiate both your obsessions.

Kusmi Tea was founded in 1867 in St-Petersburg, by P.M Kousmichoff, supplier to the tsars. In 1917, at the time of the Revolution, they moved to London and Paris. They're boutique at 56, rue de Seine will soon have a tea room serving Anastasia, Troika, Prince Vladimir, Petrushka, Samovar, Zoubrovka, and Russian morning tea...

Grandma always taught me that loose tea was best. And of course she was so right. These look wonderful--I'll bet this was such a treat for the senses...it must have smelled so rich. Thx for sharing!

  6. I experienced going to a Japanese Tea Ceremony when I taught in Japan. It's a really interesting experience...so full of ritual. It's quite lovely :)

  7. I have read a lot about the tea ceremony and hope to experience it in Japan in May. The BEST display of tea pots, and Japanese art/culture /swords and even a tea room is the British Museum.. I found it a beautiful display..

Oh, Kusmi tea. Some days it just makes life bearable. Especially Prince Vladimir or Petrushka.

I think I need to go drink some tea.
