Ah, I found myself making some very odd noises while reading this post. I must stop drooling. Poor me, I was eating a granola bar and M&Ms while reading this post. Didn't quite match up to Angelina. sigh.
I am such and admirire of your beautiful painting and wonderful talent. This is darling, but then I say that about every one of your paintings that I see on here.
LOL--too funny. I also adore whipped cream--are you kidding? I could whip up a bowl and eat the whole thing plain! It's a sin. But what a way to go. I love that watercolor--the red and white are so fresh and lovely to me. Beautiful, Carol!
Dear Parisianne ANNE, We MUST get you to ANGELINA enfin!!! you will see how the Frenchies are overcrowding the place leaving hardly any room for us poor touristas! There outta be a LAW- Parisianne hours and Tourist hours!
Bonjour ! I’m Carol Gillott, a former NYer living on Île Saint-Louis in a 21 meter chambre de bonne. As a Paris blogger, travel writer, watercolorist, and photographer, I share my latest escapades so you can walk around the city vicariously in my shoes. To experience even more of the Parisian life, sign up to receive my beautifully Illustrated monthly letters where I paint the Paris your dreams and mail them
to you wherever you are. You can order these letters, along with my art prints, at my Etsy shop.
Describe what you love about France in 3 words. Can we make it 5 words? Eyes, ears, nose, tastebuds + brain. Paris stimulates all my senses constantly. I’m inspired all the time – endlessly surprised and amused. New York doesn’t do it for me anymore…
Wonderful watercolour of the Angelina! I can just smell the chocolate and see the muraled ceiling.......
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely, lovely. I've never been there but plan to go in September. Care to join me? ;-)

Scrumptious - your watercolors AND photos! Le comble du chic! (But no caveat about how the service can be a tad abusive?)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Angelina painting!
ReplyDeleteCould that concoction with the whipped cream at the center be made of purée de marrons spaghetti?
I will see the pictures again with my daughter. She wants to study art therapy, and your blog is a source of ideas Inspiration..Manuela
ReplyDeleteHmm, gorgeous. Looks so yummy. Do Parisians actually eat there? Or is it just for show? How do they stay so thin?
ReplyDeleteAs a chef I should know... was that a mont blanc in reverse...Chestnut puree and cream?

Angelina, une véritable institution parisienne pour....les touristes! I never go there; there are too many people waiting in line! That frightens me!
ReplyDeleteOh, isn't Angelina's wonderful? Even on a hot summer's day the hot chocolate is a must!
ReplyDeleteWhat is that squiggly, pale chocolat thing with a center?
ReplyDeleteAnnie
Back in the day the mont blanc had the cream on top.. like a mountain.. I like this presentation much better...
ReplyDeleteAs always, I really find your paintings charming.
ReplyDeleteI just wish though, that the pitcher were facing into the picture, rather than out.
Seulement une petite chose.
Qu'en pensez-vous?
Amusez-vous,
Janis
