You might think you're in Paris if you saw these croissants... You might think you were at Balthazar in Soho...You're not. You're at the new Bisoux Market in the Delta Terminal at LaGuardia Airtport.
Bisouxis loaded with French classic sweeties like Barnier lollies...
Carol, I have the Balthazar cookbook and it is amazing, wonderful everytime I use it. Are you going to be in Maine long? If you have time its a treat to see the Olson house, where Andrew Wyeth got so much inspiration. xx julie
Those croissants...pure perfection. I'm doing a crazy metabolic liver cleanse program (Day 6 of 10) but once I'm done, it's going to be a croissant binge! Because croissants just can't be bad for your liver, right?
Well, crossaints and mussels are the most impressive things I remember from my journey to...Belgium:) However Belgiam cities aren't French cities, the tastes of both seem to be similar :D
I haven't done a thing but eat fried clams & steamed clams re:the VOGUE illustration but I shall try today to tear myself away from the clams for a bit and attend to business. Maine will do that to you... Thanks for cheering me on PBers!!
Oh, so much has been happening at PB while I've been on the road ... Maine is a part of the US I've always wanted to visit - can't wait for more (food) pics! Your petite niece is a trésor indeed. And yes please keep us posted on Vogue's response - how shameful and unprofessional of them.
Hi, I’m Carol Gillott, watercolorist, former NYer living on Île Saint-Louis in a 21 meter chambre de bonne. I send out Illustrated letters 💌 monthly from Paris. Travel writer, Paris blogger, watercolorist, photographer, I share my personal experiences so you can walk around Paris vicariously in my shoes. I paint Paris your dreams and mail them ❤️ wherever you are. Receive an illustrated letter every month from Paris, France via Etsy.
Describe what you love about France in 3 words. Can we make it 5 words? Eyes, ears, nose, tastebuds + brain. Paris stimulates all my senses constantly. I’m inspired all the time – endlessly surprised and amused. New York doesn’t do it for me anymore…
yum yum and triple yum. x
ReplyDeleteOh the splendor of French food! I love it..where it is served up!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great addition for La Guardia! Merci!
ReplyDeleteWow Carol, imagine all that at La Guardia. It's bound to benefit Delta ticket sales, too.
ReplyDeleteBon voyage!

Worth bus ride to LaGuardia just for the guimauves

Yum all around. I hope the weather (and shellfish) in Maine is treating you right!
ReplyDeleteDouble check the rubber bands on those claws before you dive into that tub of lobsters! :-)

So appealing, and love the cooking lessons from Louisa Shafia. Her added information (including the sustainability factor) is so useful.
ReplyDeleteWow, my mouth is watering.
ReplyDeleteThe croissants look delicious, but I like the Maine shots and the seafood the best.
ReplyDeleteI hope that it is nice & cool up there.
Have fun!
Have a wonderful time, Carol! Enjoy!
