What do you want in your holiday stocking? Nothing wrong with a block of chocolate soap IMHO...
Or an edgy pair of J-P Gautier sunglasses.
So what if these gorge shoes poke a hole in my stocking or make my feet tres miserable...
A nice box of Carette petit fours would do nicely...
A dozen or two of French homemade jam...MIAM!
I'd love my own macaron machine...

A pair of cafe chairs svp.
My very own presse kiosk preferably on bvd St.-Germain...
While I'm dreaming, why not a twirling French stairway...
Leading to a Parisien hallway...
I'll jump into my chocolate mini Smart car (another stocking stuffer)
And go spinning around la place de la Concorde at l'heure bleu
BIG MERCI PBers for sending your pets to Paris this Xmas!
What do you want in your stocking?

You will need a very large stocking indeed. Now I have already celebrated Christmas with my family early, but do wish I had seen this post soon enough for their stockings. They were a bit lacking and I am sure they would have loved some of the ideas here. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMarilyn,
ReplyDeleteI have VERY big feet! :)
I'll take the pair of café chairs...ahem!
ReplyDeleteThe new book on Coco Chanel, s'il vous plaît, and since we don't have stockings in my house (that's not a French tradition) Santa can leave the book by my little slippers, next to the fireplace (but I have very SMALL feet! ;-) Joyeux Noël! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteI will take the jams, biscuits, macarons, petits fours and other nibblies in my stocking, s'il vous plait!
ReplyDeleteBut which Coco book Veronique?
ReplyDeletethere are so many new ones...
I liked the Karl drawing on one of them..
I read a bit of Sleeping With the enemy = Coco, the bad..
xxCarolg
Now I know what to ask Santa for. Lovely ideas. Joyeux Noel, Carole
ReplyDeleteIntimate Chanel was written by Chanel's family members (the surviving ones, obviously)
ReplyDeleteIt looks promising, with photos I have never seen in other biographies.
I hope Santa brings it to me ;-)
We got a great white snow cover stocking stuffer today:)
ReplyDeletehappy Holidays to you~
How is it possible that I have reached the age of Medicare in complete ignorance of the macaron MACHINE???
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy Christmas Carol... xv
ReplyDeleteI hope to get my usual bottle of Irish Cream!
ReplyDeleteI would also like the petite fours to go with.
Joyeux Noel , Carol & fellow PBers!
Macarons please. Love the choc. Smart car but it's way too small!
ReplyDeleteA lot of great photos, Carol, and the sketch is a real winner!
ReplyDeleteI'll take the hallway & staircase in the hope that an apartment in Paris is part of the deal :)
Happy Christmas Carol.
ReplyDeleteMy wish for a filled Parisian stocking would include first class tix to Paris, some delightful access to accommodation, and all the time required to explore the Paris that you invite us to explore with your wonderful posts.
xo
All of zee above. xoxo
ReplyDeleteStockings have always been my favorite part of Christmas morning... thank you for giving Santa an absolutely perfect "go-to" list.
ReplyDeleteCarol, exchanged gifts tonight with my business partner, purchased one of your French winery water colors for him and he fell in love with it. Thanks again & Joyeux Noel to you and yours!
I adore your Pari Breakfasts blog so much.
ReplyDeleteJust came back from Paris myself and these great photos and remarks "keep me afloat".
Never stop!!
REALLY ENJOY YOUR BLOG AND LOOK FORWARD TO MORE IN 2012
ReplyDeleteQuick note
ReplyDeleteI would love to see pictures of the Noel Market
Thanks
Happy Holidays! Love your photo of the orange balls?
ReplyDeleteIs that 6th Avenue?
Where is that?
Love the photo.
Best,
Tp
I love it -- a spiraling staircase, a hallway, maybe even the (real) Eiffel Tower in a stocking. So funny. You've invented a new way to celebrate Xmas, the whole world in the toe of a sock.
ReplyDeleteCarol, have a very Merry Christmas!
I'd like the chocolate soap bloc, oh, and also the macarons the colour of Kermit the frog! They look like fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your inspiring blog throughout the year,
Merry Christmas!
I want everything in YOUR stocking!!
ReplyDeleteA very happy Christmas to you, Carol, and a big thank you for a wonderful blog that's always a visual treat, amusing, entertaining and fun to visit. Joyeux Noel to you and yours (and Bear)
xoxo
So cute Carol! I'd love a pair of those chairs too!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a fabulous Christmas and a dazzling New Year!
Lori Lynn
I'll settle for just the BLOCK of CHOCOLATE without the soap s'il vouz plait?
ReplyDeleteI love the little dog!
