Carol; what an absolutely PERFECTO post for the first day of school. On my walk this a.m. I saw lots of teary-eyed moms sending their little ones off, to begin the new year.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove that accordion file in front of the pencil sharpener.
Love all your papeterie items..They are like macarons to me:)
ReplyDeleteThe last photos is so cute too!
I think I'd rather be in Paris for La Rentree than here...
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd rather be in NEW YORK for bagels!!

ReplyDeleteWe leave for Paris - tomorrow!!! Thanks to you there are several little places I will look for - and I will let you know if I discover ones all of us mustn't miss!
ReplyDeleteI love this shop Les Mélodies Graphiques. Chas already answered your question , le taille-crayon for penci sharpener but me who's French, i always wondered how what do say for "la rentrée" in English ? Because in French, we could say "la rentrée littéraire" (the books which come out in september), "les films de la rentrée" and so on....Merci et oui vive la rentrée !
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post!
ReplyDeleteI want to go shopping in this wonderful shop!
♥ Franka
Now, those are all going on my wish-list. I looooove stationery stores when they have beautiful things like this. Happy first day of school, Carol!
ReplyDeleteI love back to school season. I always have. Even though I'm no longer a student, I still treat myself to school supplies when I'm out shopping. Just 'cuz.
ReplyDeleteChocolate pencils. They would give me just the buzz I need to kick-start my writing project at home...and help me meet the rigorous deadline I set for myself.
Le mot Pencil sharpener en francais est « taille crayon »
ReplyDeleteUn taille crayon is a masculin word…
A “ Taille crayon electrique” is the one that you plug…
Voila Carol have a good day
Marie

A pencil sharpener is a taille-crayon, I love PB.
ReplyDeleteIt has become my morning pick me up.
I always feel better about the world after seeing your beautiful watercolors and you great musings on France and patisserie.
It makes me homesick.
Thanks so much Laurie
Oh, I have that box but mine came with "antique" Paris postcards not pencils. Couldn't resist.
ReplyDeleteI want to be READY for le rentree without acutally rentreeing... :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the odds & ends that you assembled.
ReplyDeleteI have to wonder are you going back to school?
Fun post for back to school. Chocolate pencils would be right up my ally. :)) Yummmm
ReplyDeletela rentree - what a bittersweet time of year. I always looked forward to getting my "back to school" supplies but it didn't take me long to start missing the lazy days of summer. It's funny that I still feel as if September and not January is the start of the new year.
