The rest of the holiday weekend I'm going to post as many New York Xmas windows and decorations as I can! These toy soldiers atop Radio City Music Hall have just been hit by the cannon on the right and they fall over continuously :) An outfit from the Rockette shop next door, should you decide you wanna dance, dance, dance. Giant red jewel boxes cascade down the facade of Cartiers... Demons or angels prance around in Bendel's windows on 5th Avenue... And the surrounding walls and floor are covered with red hot candies! In Bergdorf Goodman's window, a femme fatale all in red. This rabbit in a snappy red jacket in Bergdorf's..the Mad Hatter perhaps?
THanks so much for all your inspirtaion. I read Almost French and i'm ordering a lamp bag after Christmas. Most of all, I appreciate the richness of your work posted nearly every day. Merry Chirstmas to you and yours.
Wow--beautiful. These, and the Nutcracaker Suite ballet at Lincoln Center, were all my haunts at Christmas time when I lived up there...sigh...thanks for the memories.
You´ve forgotten a red that I love too much...the red from Carolina Herrera bags and boxes and the red from Louboutin shoe-soles... I´m waiting for more of your NY photos...they´re nice. S.
Bonjour ! I’m Carol Gillott, a former NYer living on Île Saint-Louis in a 21 meter chambre de bonne. Describe what you love about France in 3 words. Can we make it 5 words? Eyes, ears, nose, tastebuds + brain. Paris stimulates all my senses constantly. I’m inspired all the time – endlessly surprised and amused. New York doesn’t do it for me anymore…
Love the jewellery boxes, wouldn't mind one of those!
