Several of New York Bergdorf Goodman's Xmas windows are an homage to Marlene Dietrich and all the sultry chanteuses of the world IMO. They don't spell it out but..
And listen to Marlene sing Falling in Love Again while you look...
Falling in love again, never wanted to
What am I to do, I can't help it
Love's always been my game, play it how I may
I was made that way, I can't help it
Men cluster to me like moths around a flame
And if their wings burn I know I'm not to blame
What am I to do I can't help it...
All I can say is..WOW.. Great shots.

ReplyDeleteAlways looooooved that photo of Dietrich...she was one of a kind...
That last one in the window looked like it was posed like Dietrich in the "Blue Angel..."

This song reminds me of a bar in Paris where you travel down a spiral staircase below ground.....to hear a singer in a smoke filled room..the sound and smell of wine... the lights on the bridges glow soft yellow......and my friend checks the heel of her shoe, and the line of her stocking... she dresses that way....
ReplyDeleteWhat am I to do???.. ;o)
