Christmas 🎄 Tea ☕️ Paris Ritz

Teddy Bear Christmas Tea
On Monday divine Karen invited me

To the Paris Ritz

For their absolutely fabulous
Christmas 🎄 Tea 🫖
I got the BEST hot chocolate in Paris & a fizzy raspberry-litchi-lemonade drink.
Karen got the accompanying Champagne 🍾 (Rodier I believe).
Karen also ordered off the menu the special Ritz Teddy Bear 🧸
But she was doing essential research 🔬 for her Confiserie company in South Africa, OOH LA LA Artisan Confectionery.
She brought along one of her gift 🎁 boxes of candy to wreck havoc on my regime…but they’re worth it 👌
Here’s the Ritz tea caddy or table full of exotic teas 🫖 but I say go with the Chocolat Chaud/hot chocolate.
In 2016 sitting with another ‘bloggeur’ we went to the opening of the Proust Salon n-teen years ago.
It’s still as lovely as ever.
And very cosy 🔥
The staff treated us like princesses 👸 Karen looked perfect in her burgundy velvet dress.
We couldn’t finish all the desserts bien sur.
*Note the empty tea tray.
They kindly boxed everything up in big marine blue Ritz bags and off we went to explore.
The Ritz gift shop is always a good idea 👍
Soignée evening gowns along the way.
We did visit the Ritz ‘Santa’ Bear 🐻
We both took macaron leçons at École Ritz
with chef Didier (where Karen decided to become a candy maker). I stuck with painting macarons. My baking skills are nil.
Karen wanted to visit the kitchens downstairs for old times sake.
BTW you can still take classes here.

Of course the annual Ritz Christmas 🎄 tree is a must visit. Teddy bears 🧸 is the theme this year.
If you can skip the deluxe tea and still taste the Ritz’ fab hot chocolate,
Come get on line outside until January 6, 2026
You pick up your goodies inside.
By Tuesday, the ‘little grey cells’ were churning. Forget Christmas at Shakespeare & Co

Carol, I have to go to the Proust tea salon next time I’m in Paris but I don’t have the wardrobe for it! Margie

Carol. Thank you for these lovely pictures; I have only been to France and Paris on the eve of the holidays so missed the lights and beautiful windows. The windows in store displays are always nice no matter what time of year it is and I was impressed with clothing prices posted in displays in many shops. The combination of old facades maintained, sparkly lights, and wonderful hot drinks is so pleasant. We did have hot, mulled wine mid-November at some sort of abbreviated market near Notre Dame one year and purchased warm capias it was cold. Dianne
