Yesterday I went oùt looking
For small, pretty shop windows.
Not so much luxurious shop windows…
Like a small coffee shop on rue Madame with home-made baked goods.
I pass
Maison Ciero flower shop on the way to the poste, full of evergreen 🌲 decorations.
Like many Paris street corners.
A poodle looking out the stationary shop window.
A Santa 🎅 taxi 🚖 in the window…
Yesterday was quite sunny and mild for December.
Cafes were full of shoppers taking a break
Windows were definitely more
Bac.
The perfect Christmas stocking.
Christmas is when adults can become children again,
And children can be children.
I love this quote on childhood from playwright,
Tom Stoppard, who we lost last weekend.
The lights are on in my neighborhood…quite cosy ❤️
Certainly more adults enjoying the bunnies at the Bon Marché than children..!
ReplyDeleteBoy, if this didn't make me wish I were in Paris, nothing would! So glad you're there to bring the sights to us. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteChristmas shop windows are always the very best!
ReplyDeleteParis at Christmas time is magical. Love all the window displays and that quote from Tom Stoppard is so true. Your Christmas Map is wonderful Carol. Merry Christmas to you and thank you for bringing Paris to us all with your beautiful photography, history info and fun adventures. -Suzanne P.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Christmas map Carol!! I am bursting with excitement, only six more sleeps and I’ll be there!!!! You should receive some Parisian medal of honour because you must entice so many people to come to Paris with your gorgeous artwork!!! 😘from🇨🇦
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Carol! Paris is indeed even more magical over the holidays. Small shops are the best, where we should be spending our €s instead of at the big chains. Your Paris Christmas Map is delightful. ❤️
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful reminder of what makes Paris special!
