Bought to keep Piu-Piu#1 company.
Their main job is to collect metal paperclips =
They are "working birds"!
But these little guys are awfully fond of having tea with Pierre Herme desserts. In fact they've become regular slackers and refuse to mess with paperclips at all! Shocking is it not?
Mini tea sets and mini birds and mini desserts? Hmmm...

Did the attraction start in Provence or buying the 1st mini Eiffel Tower on a Paris street corner..?

BONJOUR MINIS!
Great photos, Carol! It really is true--there's something very appealing about mini-anythings. Your bird siblings are a riot--they just have the most classic shape; I love 'em. The fried eggs might be my favorite--too funny. (By the way, I see you in one of those pictures!);))

Love these! The two birds and the Ispahan especially. A little dreaming of a world in mini, little story telling...what fun!
ReplyDeleteAll best, Jan
Aw! Lovebirds! The "eggs" are great.
ReplyDeleteHow nice that piu piu #1 has a mate. You never can have just one you know. They are so cute. It would be interesting to see how many have minitures. I have a tiny black & while toile cup and saucer attached that was given to me a few years ago. I display it on my dresser it's so cute.
ReplyDeleteWould love to know what those 'eggs' taste like.
Love your birds, tres mignonne! I am kind of grossed out by gummy fried eggs. I'll pass on those ;-)
ReplyDeleteThose oeufs plats are hilarious. A store in the Marais open 24 hours?? What's its name??
ReplyDeletePiu-Piu #1 is beautiful, and they both really go well together.
ReplyDeleteI love the magnet birds and mini tea sets.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to take a photo of our mini-tea set made to look like bird's nests!!

I just stumbled across your website today and I guess it was my lucky day.
ReplyDeleteYour drawings are simply gorgeous, pretty and scrumptious as the desserts.
Alice
The company should be paying to use your gorgeous watercolors to promote the line...so adorable!
ReplyDeleteNow I imagine you playing with the teeny tiny cakes all day long - just like I will when I get them:)
I love what you say,
ReplyDeleteI love what you paint,
I love what you write,
I love what you photograph,
I love everything in your blog.
LoveItaly - You never miss a visual trick! :)
ReplyDeleteJanice - The minis are a dreamy world...Where's my Alice In Wonderland DRINK ME bottle so I can go to the tea party.
WendyB - the "fried gummy eggs" are a hoot! I wish I'd tasted them.
Cris in Or - Yes I'm glad I didn't have to go to Match.com mate hunting for Piu-Piu
Pieplate - It was maybe a late-night little corner grocery store. Certainly not a candy store as such.
Cakespy - Don't you think there should be a Pylones Club for us addicted fans? I could not go to Paris and not check out Pylones' windows.
Doudy - I'm just discovering the mini side of France! It's fascinating the detail.
Alice - THANKS!
Anita - I haven't actually gotten to "play" with these toys...too busy painting and drawing. But what a good idea!
KITEM! - THANK YOU for such kind words!!!
First of all, your website is so adorable. I am inquiring from you because of how attractive it is!!! Our restaurant is looking for wrapped brown sugar cubes. Can you please send me some details and pricing on what you have available? You may also call me if that is easier. Either way, I look forward to speaking with you soon.
ReplyDeleteWarmest Regards,
Kelly
Well Carol, I suppose the only sensible thing left for you to do is to find a mini Carol to sit in her mini cafe on her mini chairs sipping her mini Pierre Herme hot chocolate in her mini cups as she nibbles on her mini macarons!
ReplyDelete:-D
