with blogger friend Corey...
You need to start showing us some buildings in Paris now!!!
PLEEEEEEEEEASE!!!
Please note this shade of blue!
"Cobalt blue"

Did Tiepolo pass through Provence enroute to Venice..? Or did all these villagers visit the Musee Jacquemart-Andres ?

Looks sooooooo serene and peaceful
A perfect break from crazy Paree :)
not Mulot but still beautiful!
Wonderfully funny little oinkers in that Provence patisserie.
I bet no Paris pastry chef would be caught dead displaying those!
Truly a feast for the eyes.
I would love to see some people shots -- what are people wearing and are scarves really everwhere?
No baguettes! but a dreamy cobalt blue. Carl Sanberg once said when you buy a loaf of bread be sure to buy some hyacinths, one to feed your your body, one to feed your soul. Get this man a baguette, he clearly already has a bouquet of beautiful colors to walk among....Teipolo eat your heart out...what a great weekend for you two. All best, Jan
The colors and patinas on all those buildings are so soft and lovingly cared for. I think it's why I love Europe so much: they take such good care of their buildings and old things. Beautiful, Carol. Glad you're getting to see so much and inviting us all along to enjoy it!
I'm so glad that Ann asked for some building shots. These are Marvelous. The colors do remind me of Macarons too. I am really in love with cobalt blue now. So soft and lucious looking. Thanks for the tour. Can't wait for more.
I absolutely adore petit fours--when I was young my Mother bought them--small moist squares with fondant and a middle of cream--sometimes a sugar violet on top--magnifique-
glad you are enjoying Paris--many pleasant dreams-
I'm interested in what village in Provence you were visiting. I, too, love the shutter colors in Provence -- from that great blue to faded blues to lavender, some dark green, some pink(!). And the fountains! A totally different story!
Thanks for this wonderful eye candy every morning!

I love those wonderful colors and that cute little pig face too! ; )
Who needs Paris when there are so many beautiful blues in Provence? Lovely photos!
Thanks Carol - those are beautiful! I especially like the photo of the patio with the plants that complement the shutter color.
Are you actually in France right now taking these pictures? I completely feel as if I am there with you! I love France and thank-you for giving my morning a great start!
you are the perfect choice for britt-arnhild's blog of the week...what a beautiful stroll with a perfect blue!
You are killing me here. A weekend with Corey in Provence? What are you trying to do to me?
Piggies for breakfast, what could be more fun! I love your surprises.
hugs,
Barbette
I'm infatuated with the piggies.
Lovely colors! I'm glad you got to see Corey in Provence.
The special blue on the shutters is all over Provence. It's richer when newer, like the half door shutter, fifth photo from the top. It weathers beautifully into the more faded, grayer version parisbreakfasts calls "cobalt." We saw it last summer in Tarascon, La Roq Aric, Gordes and other towns. Can't wait to see it again next summer.
I especially like that blue against the soft buttery yellow. Love the patinas that develop on the buildings.....just what every faux painter is trying to achieve.
I finally succumbed and bought Dorie Greenspan's book (you should charge her a finder's fee) so I could make L'Opera, but first: the cocoa -- tonight!
beautiful pictures, I wish I was there.
You are letting us in on your experience.
Thanks
The blue(s) are lovely, all the colors are lovely. And of course I noticed the cream puffs (mit schlag!)
hi
Thanks foryour visual toure
it was such a pleasure...
to see places which we might not have the opportunity to see.
THANKS AGAIN
Carol
Those blue calls you
come back
coem back
dont you here the little piggies squeeling, "we miss you!"
Let Mulot have Paris, let Provence bath in the sunshine and sing
Merci Carol for the visit!
Beautiful photographs! I just found you through Corey's post... I really like how you've connected that blue colour of the doors and shutters in Provence to the painting.
Thank you for posting such delightfully beautiful photos.
So Paris macarons and ispahans had a little rest ... while you were shooting in Provence !!!
The light... the palette... even pastry stars are different... and inspiring...
You make me want to move back home!!!
That shade of blue stirs something up inside of me...almost haunts me...creates such a longing. Beautiful pictures. Cheryl
