These are not apples as Magritte famously said...
They fell off of this toy tree.
This bear was supposed to be guarding the tree...hmm Was he too busy chatting with the other bears at SI TU VEUX? Or bouncing around on these big alphabet blocks? Another bear! So much stuff in this teeny, tiny shop at 68 Galerie Vivienne 2e I fell for a French sailor...duckie But this mini picnique basket looked tempting... As did these rattan chaises and table.Course you'd need a lot of this play money to buy all the goodies at SI TU VEUX. Still, even if you just buy a little duckie, you get your purchase gift wrapped like this! Ah...there's the bear Bye bye SI TU VEUX.
BONNE WEEK-END!

That shop looks charming! Love the bears guarding the doorway. Sweet. Is that mosaic on the ground? --pretty spot!
ReplyDeleteWe made a point of visiting three of the "Galeries" when we were there in December of 2007. Have the same bear pictures. The entire Galerie was magical with all the little white lights in the store windows. Thanks for the wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteRead your blog every day for inspiration of time spent in Paris.

It's a curious name for a toy store! I like the Galerie Vivienne; it's a magic old place.
ReplyDeleteGalerie Vivienne is one of my favorite little corners of Paris. So cute to see Si Tu Veux here on your blog.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Teddies. I occasionally call my companion one too. In Finnish you say "Nalle".

Carol,
ReplyDeleteParis Breakfasts has grabbed my heart and hands down its a favorite that I look forward to reading! Recently I realized that I wasn't getting it. I resubscribed and I still wasn't getting it and wondered what was wrong. Last night I realized that I had set it so the posts go into their own mail folder when I found the folder hidden inside another with many posts therein. I was very happy!
But I'm also sad-- I am allergic to dairy and yeast breads, chocolate, coffee, and a few other things. Would I starve to death in Paris or just be a real sourpuss? I do cheat sometimes, but not often! I think if I lived in Paris I would have to cheat every day!
Merci beaucuop for Paris Breakfasts! Bonne Journee!
