Escape to Bon Marché
While everyone escaped to Saint Malo, Trouville-sur-mer, Aix-en-Provence, etc. etc. I escaped to Bon Marché after the pool 🏊 on Saturday.
A short Métro ride away to Sévres-Babylon to browse patisserie & anything else that caught my fancy…

La Roseraie du Val-de-Marne, 3-Day 🌹Sale, Confiture Parisienne, Lancôme Cafe de la Rose
This past week was ROSE WEEK 🌹
Last Sunday I headed out to La Roseraie de Val-de-Marne to paint the roses 🌹 Take ligne 7 to last stop, Villejuif-LouisAragon end of the line. Then bus 172 (in front) for 10+ minutes to Sous-Prefecteur Eglise etc. It was windy, cold and looked about to rain any second. I got back on the 7train & came home 🏡

Chocolate Letter Research continued
I have been ‘down for the count’ this week with a hacking cough, sniffles & classic cold symptoms. No Covid fortunately 🙏
I forgot to eat my daily full-proof winter elixir - pomegranate seeds.

Home in Paris
Buy a few fleurs for your room, say at La Nom de la Rose, even if you're staying in a hotel..?
Or browse in a wine shop..?
How about buying French magazines/journals at a presse kiosk even though your French is rather rusty or non-existent?
Must-haves = box of macarons!
Some French chocolate!
Bread or those cookies by Poilane bien sur.
A quickie run into a department store to catch up on the latest tendances/trends like Le Bon Marche?
Do you take a Metro or a mini tour on a Paris bus like the No.95 that goes everywhere you want to go..?
Do you stand in the rue studying the ardoise/menus pretending you're going to eat there..?
Is visiting the Eiffel Tower an absolute must-see for you first day?
Do you keep an eye out for something special to bring home to remember your trip?My 1st day in Paris, I pretend it's my last day so I can remember to appreciate every single nano second. But usually I forget. I get caught up in the visual buffet and forget to remember until it is The Last Day...
Do tell me what YOU do 1st day in Paris.
