Anne Maisonneuve 75006
Just about everything I put on my back (from the waist up) comes from Anne's shop in the 6th
112 Boulevard Raspail 75006
These A-B-C T-shirts are Anne's newest addition. Who could resiste?
Loads of fun gifts for the kiddies too and even infants.
The jewelry looks like candy even when it isn't.
Bright and cheerful.
Don't you think Anne Masisonneuve should meetup with Georges of Le Bonbon au Palais? Maybe they could do an exchange so you could eat candy at Anne's and buy a candy T-shirt at Georges'
Oh why didn't I get these cerises earrings?
Because I bought the tassel earrings just in...
Even the non-candy earrings look edible.
No one could miss these are cupcakes.
I've been to this shop so many times yet I've never looked up! My eyes are clued to the goodies at eye-level so I missed these wonderful flower murals.
And I totally missed the flower-garden theme throughout the tiny shop.
A floral dress to go with...
I missed these mix and match always classic black and white outfits at Annes. Someone is not so observant after all it seems...
I missed buying this adorable hat in plain sight too.
Here is the owner, Anne Maisonneuve. (Note her tassel earrings - she makes most of the jewelry herself). Anne didn't miss me coming through the door though it's the 1st time we've met. I was wearing my fatal red glasses + her macaron T-shirt + polkadot scarf. Evidently enough of you have turned up that Anne now 'knows' me and gave me a big hug! If you haven't been by all means go! Loads of fun clothes bien sur.

Guerlain Ode de la Vanille
Guerlain Shalimar Ode de Vanille, 9" x 11"
Back in a May I got a request to paint several Paris pet portraits from the gals up at the New York branch of Guerlain.
Shortly before I went off on my last trip a little surprise showed up at my door - Guerlain Shalimar 'Ode de la Vanille'. Addiction set in and I didn't even know it.
I haven't worn perfume for ages. You can't when you're shooting around chefs and food - it interfers with their cooking aromas. But after daily hits of Ode de la Vanille I was hooked. Everytime I saw a tassel a certain mysterious scent would waft over me...
I stopped in Anne Maisonneuve's shop looking for another macaron T-shirt. When I spotted her tassel earrings I had to have them!
Did you know Anne makes jewelry along with her adorable macaron T-shirts? I bought these tassel earrings even though they kind of clash with my red glasses, ahem.
I am maybe the world's worst baker but when I saw lush tubes of vanille at G.Detrou patisserie shop I swooned. I have no idea what I'll do with them but they are vanille like my new perfume...sigh
Everytime I passed an Amorino gelateria and read the words 'parfums' I couldn't resist.
It was the parfum dragging me in there against my will and forcing me eat ice cream everyday in Paris
Often you'll see little macaron 'maps' and they list the flavors as parfums. What choice did I have? munch munch munch
*Disclosure: FOUR macarons were eaten while preparing this post. What's a girl to do? Monkey see..monkey eat.
Fortunately I'm back re-united with my Guerlain Ode de la Vanille so I'm eating somewhat less ice cream, less macarons and stopped enhaling vanilla beans. I only have to give myself a spritz. Et voila. Guerlain's La Petit Robe Noir will be coming out this Fall. If you're now addicted too (it's contagious isn't it?) and you can't, wait try out their nice cologne on Amazon.
I painted this bottle several times today...

Summer In The City
Summertime has hit Paris enfin.
Where ever you look
Summer is suddenly ever present.
Anne Maisonneuve has FAB summery earrings. I bought the new tapestry tassle earring she was wearing. It's not just T-shirts you know.
Pots of delicious sorbet fill Arnaud Larhrer's vitrine. How is it every single patisserie and boulangerie in Paris is selling ice cream in one form or another? This is why I HAVE to move to Paris.
Raimo, one of Paris' oldest glaciers, serving up cornets since 1947.
Naturallement I had to taste their pistache.
Whoops!
That's what happens summertime in the city.
Nearby pistache sandals..a better option perhaps?
Will she eat a savory herbaceous quiche from Pain du Sucre?
Me, I'd like to take a bath in frozen 'bio' framboise from Picard to cool off...
A French girl iPading in a cafe on Sunday...
Another French girl heads off to Paris Plage in just a sarong and brief top, naturallement tout en bleu. French Girls are not only impeccable. They know how to hold onto their ice cream cones...
BONNE ETE PBers!

MERCI for your best wishes hier/yesterday!
At Gerard Mulot on 72,rue de Seine 75006 just down from the piscine.
Chef Mulot is often on the premises checking everything is correct.
My Mulot macarons gift-wrapped sitting on a metro seat.
On to Dalloyau on 5 bd Beaumarchaise 75004 - their newest tower of macarons.
Inside the flavors await.
When they ask you if you want your macarons as a gift/cadeaux?
Toujours, tourjours dit OUI!
Or you get a paper bag or worse in plastic and they crush so easily.
On to Cafe Pouchkine's golden disks in Printemps.
In gorgeous colors.
You can wear your macarons at Anne Maisonneuve.
Or put them on a spinning plate (why would you want that?)
Hang them from a tree for a Springy effect.
Pierre Herme's modern tree of macarons
At the mini exhibit in Galeries Lafayette.
Herme's croquis/sketches how he designs and plots his pastries.
Big dollops of filling make Hermes macarons the 'fattest' of all.
His giant macaron sculpture. Tiny macs at Limoge on 232 rue de Rivoli to put in your poche/pocket.
BON WEEKEND!
