Hermès Paris, Centre Pompidou, La Machine du Moulin Rouge,

Yesterday I made a special trip to Hermès, 17, rue de Sèvres, 75006

Last Sunday
on the way to the AAWE Xmas Bazaar
I caught a glimpse of astonishing snowmen ⛄️ windows

Hermès Christmas decorations this year are the top 🎩
Many Penguins around town 🐧 Are they IN? I think so 🧐
Black and white snowmen with touches of  carrot 🥕 🥕 Unusual. The most sophisticated Xmas decor I’ve seen yet in my opinion 👌
Of course there is plenty
Of gifts 🎁 for the horsey 🐎 set
I checked out the children’s books 📚
Reindeer were reading
Brilliantly colorful & designed books bien sur.
You can spot sales staff, sashed in Hermès inimitable silk scarves 🧣 Very clever.
I was feeling hungry so peeked in Maison du Chocolat’s window…
And then inside Patrick Roger’s chocolate emporium.
But I needed something substantial…
I went to Rose Bakery inside Bon Marché
Their 3-Salads veggie plate is my favorite ❤️
I was seated by the escalators...I doodled ✍️ on the placemat.
Dessert - a matcha cookie 🍪 from Grand Epicerie.
My Thanksgiving 🦃 was spent at Centre Pompidou sketching the wild dancing 🕺free-for-all.
They have once a month free evenings for the kids, with a canteen, special exhibitions, a DJ 🎵 set from La Machine Moulin Rouge ( not the red windmill).
You simply register online.
Then come get on the line.
Luckily I was browsing in the bookshop and ended up in the balcony snackbar sketching…
Not so easy with constantly moving bodies but a big dopamine hit
The soiree goes on till 11:30 🕦 I left at 8 pm
For some steaming Ramen soup 🥣 It was so cold 🥶
❤️ Bon Dimanche dear PBers 🐻

Don’t you know the family of the little girl would love that picture; it’s just the best.

It was a very FAST shot. Kids don’t usually stay still for long either

What an exciting life you lead Carol! All of your healthy food choices must give you endless energy. If I followed your example perhaps my Hermes scarves would fit around my waist like on their sales staff! 🫣

Thank you for bringing us a glimpse of Paris holiday festivities. Your photo (and sketch!) of the little girl looking at the snowmen is precious. ❤️

Hmm…not sure RAMEN is healthy…but it’s definitely warming on chilly nights 🥶 but maybe healthier than onion soup 🍲

I loved this post yesterday and followed in your footsteps today. You inspire me. I had to take some holiday photos for the article I write on holiday decorations, so I went to Bon Marché, had lunch at Rose Bakery, and even stopped into Hermes, where I have never been. Oh my. So many salespeople and so friendly. Meredith M.
