Christmas day in Paris was foggy
Except I got the bright idea to put the crevettes Shrimp 🍤 into some soupe de poisson I had on the shelf, which turned out to be a bad idea 👎 Their delicate flavors were completely submerged.
More.
I’m in the street crossing to Galeries Lafayette Gourmet - a girl with the longest red hair ever. Agreed?
I broke down & got a favorite - chausson au pomme 🍎 from Philippe Conticini. I’ve been eye-balling this for weeks
🤷♀️ C’est la vie
C’est la vie 🥰
Where is the photo of the discarded Christmas tree I saw earlier? I love that tree shape that says Paris to me and I want to file it away. Merci.
ReplyDeleteOK I thought it 🌲 looked a bit triste 😢
Delete😄 my red hair was to knees (!) before I got cancer -23 and got bold. 😳 Now I have short curly grey hair. But I am alive! 🥰
ReplyDeleteI am glad you’re here too Thilda ❤️ 👏

Carol, were the stores open on Christmas Day or were you just musing on past days as you experienced Christmas Day. I couldn't tell.. but enjoyed the journey~

ReplyDeleteThe hordes may be queuing at Cedric Grolet but I’ll take Philippe Conticini any day. His work is never over the top; it’s always perfection. Hope you enjoyed that chausson. ❤️
ReplyDeleteLove all of your leopard print pics…fun! Bonnes fêtes, Carol. 😘
I love your pastry selection. All that blue reminds me of Yves Klein blue art that I saw at the Pompidou. I am just catching up on all your entries…been a little busy around here. Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteHope you still had a nice day despite the fog!
ReplyDeleteThe buche de Noël all look nice but a bit hard to get one for yourself, that’s why mince pies are great! Also we got a mini Christmas cake perfect for two people to eat over Christmas week. Not sure you have any of these in the US though and not in France either.
Glad you got a taste of an favourite pastry after all that looking!
All the best for NYE 🎉
