A New Hat at AAWE Paris

A few weeks ago, when J. said, “would you like to go to the AAWE Christmas Bazaar at The American Church” I said sure.

Little did I know, across a crowded room
I would meet the hat 👒 of my dreams. Handmade by a mystery knitter 🧶 You think 🤔 ‘Hmm, I’ll just try it on…’
Suddenly everyone is saying, “You Have To Get It! “
Exciting things happen when you leave home 🏡
I have to admit this was my first visit to The American Church, 64, quai d’Orsay and to an AAWE Paris event, but it won’t be my last 👍
The Association of American Women in Europe (AAWE) is a bicultural community of American women primarily in France and in Europe and around the world.
They offer activities for all stages of life, both personally and professionally.
AAWE fosters an environment that enables our members to create bonds, develop supportive networks and lifelong friendships. Along with offer delish, home-baked goodies for special events.
I got zucchini slices 😋 like Mom used to make. What a nice change from fancy French pastry 🥮
They were offering fun vintage goodies yesterday.
Beautiful cashmeres from JAC/Jane Again Cashmeres made in Italy. *Note the divine grey hand warmers Jane is wearing. Yum Yum
J. browsed the vintage rack and found a Balenciaga! But too big. Dommage 🤷‍♀️
Of course, the divine Ajiri Aki
Of Madame de la Maison, was there,
With some stunning dinner soirée goodies.
Bangles from Bali anyone?
Or a cosy onesie for grownups, slouching around at home.
Ready, Freddy happily demonstrated how easy they were to roll down when needed.
I won’t be a slouch and miss out on anymore AAWE events in future. I was thrilled with my new hat 👒 J. and I went out in the cold for a stroll and an egg salad sandwich 🥪
You never know what can happen in Paris if you’re open to something new.
Bon Dimanche dear PBers ❤️

Carol. I am in a baking mood here in SoCal! Pumpkin bread, pumpkin cake, banana cookies, tortes, and soon empanadas. Thank you and I had no idea about this homey event.
