Chocolate truffles, original watercolor, 5" x 7"
Yesterday I stopped in at the Soho boutique, Vosges Haut Chocolat for a look around on 132 Spring Street...
I had to paint this arresting poster at the entrance...
The shop is quite grand...
Chandeliers, marble counters, all in keeping with their elegant chocolates...
Hot chocolate or espresso too...
A customer came in and requested a "hatbox" full of chocolates...oh my

They sent me this batch of bars (all sans chillis). I've been instantly converted to their "Deep Milk" Chocolate.
I can assure you I am NOT having chocolates for breakfast today as I write this post!
Absolutely NOT non non non..

BON CHOCOLAT!
I see a painting in that last wonderfully bowed image, Carol. Just your style: a still life just sitting there waiting. They all sound so good. Love those chandeliers, and your chocolates painting is divine. Have a good weekend, cutie!
ReplyDeleteI tried Sue, but no go :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes the circular file calls...
Maybe too much chocolate for breakfast :)
Ooh, chocolate for breakfast!!! Yay. Deep milk chocolate sounds like the best of both worlds. A little orange in mine please. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteO course, I love this store! I could stay hours and hours there!
ReplyDeleteI love Vosges! I haven't yet been to the NYC boutique, but I do have great love for the Las Vegas one. My husband took me there for the dessert course of our second date and I've been hooked every since (on both the man and the chocolate, hehe).
ReplyDeleteA deliciously good post, as always! Merci!
Good morning...as always you've started my day with a wonderful breakfast...and a beautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
I must say that many times I feel your paintings are so much more delicious looking than the actual inspiration. That says alot, coming from a chocoholic like myself! Lovely.

ReplyDeleteI adore carmel too!
Gorgeous shop!
I am so glad I found you...we just returned from a trip to Paris and I have a passion for blue and white too. I love your paintings and hope one day they fit into the budget. I am going to have to check in with you often---nothing better than french eye candy!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've heard about them YEARS ago.
ReplyDeleteAren't they just wonderful?

Carol - I really like the Bacon Bar...slowly working my way through their other flavors. Cheers,

It's been a while since I've visited and I was so happy to see you're still at it, with your wonderful Paris Breakfast paintings and fabulous photos! Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI go to Vosges every time I am in New York. There are a couple of stores in Toronto that just started carrying their chocolate bars but nothing beats entering the store with its towering purple walls, marble counters and chandeliers to take in the entire brand experience. I wish they would hurry up and expand to Canada soon!
ReplyDeleteWow! So yummy looking.
