Cafe Espress...

I think Fridays will be "Paris cafe day"

The black cups are particularly tough to paint. Black anything is hard to paint and I'm used to painting white cups.

Cafe Bonaparte's facade in the 6th.

I love the geometry of Paris' cafes... Circles and squares...so harmonious.
Always pleasing to the eye

I love grabing a shot of a recently occupied table... This one is at Au Chai de L'Abbaye.

As always Cafe Mondrian has a place setting out waiting for you :)

'Paris Cafe Day' sounds like a wonderful idea. I look forward to it.

I love the black Cafes Richard cups.

  2. Even though I am fresh out of Cafe' Hawelka in Vienna, I had no problem following your Paris Cafe Day. At Cafe Mondrian I wasn't quite sure what they wanted me to order, with the table already pre-set. What would you suggest?

It's almost like you leave us with a cliff hanger on Fridays.. We can sit in those cafes..figuratively speaking..and contemplate what you will have for us next week. ;-)

Also makes me want to go out and get a cute little bistro set of my very own. ;-)I like the sound of Paris Cafe Day...

Your black cups look as if they're coming along nicely! I like your idea of doing the cups with tons of reflected light and then having them accompanied by the little harlequin-typed checked black and white wrappers there...nice touch. Happy weekend. a toute a l'heure!

  7. Wow - those red and blue stripey-polka-dotty chairs kind of make my eyes vibrate! I'm not sure I could sit in one for long (well, maybe if I couldn't see it)...

  10. if a person looked up 'style'
    in a dictionary,
    they would find: Paris.

if a person looked up 'photographs that make people want to go to Paris' on the internet,
    they would find: Yours.

    no joke.
i am Paris green with envy!

    :-)
