Everyone in Paris thinks it’s SPRING!
This woman in the BLUE jacket caught me trying to get a shot of her putting on SUNTAN LOTION in a shop window.
For a snack pre-Saut Hermès.
This is a tiny ‘lobster roll’ in triplequet (36€) drowning in brown butter/beurre noire
I’ve written many times about Maine Lobster rolls…
And Homer’s in Paris. This was no proper lobster roll in my humble opinion. My host begged to differ.
Feeling desperate, I asked for plain old vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate sauce like at Le Cafe Flore en l’Ïle ❤️
What I got - Hot Chocolat Chaud poured over 2 tiny golf balls(26€)
1. Ice cream
2. Marshmallow
Looks pretty but…who wants ice cream floating in hot chocolate? Even if it is Patrick Roger chocolat chaud 😬
My host didn’t want me to share this secret place for fear all PBers would run 🏃♂️ there. Tant pis. Don’t take a bloggeuse to a place you want to keep secret 🤐
What do you think dear PBers?
The name is La Bibliotheque Duc de Mornye.
Meanwhile I was dressed in my Uniqlo black Heattech turtleneck with quilted jacket. For once I left my puffer coat home 👏
A gift from my children’s 📕 author/collaborator, MESSY NESSY CHIC.from her shop, CABINET. If you don’t know Nessy or want to know more, listen to Lindsey Tramuta’s interview from yesterday. I found out stuff I didn’t know. I get a mention too!
Ahhhh…Spring in Paris! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely thing to wake up to this morning. Spring time in Paris with all your wonderful photos. Love your fun new cap, adore lobster rolls and enjoy outdoor picnics. I always value your honest opinion about food/restaurants, fashion and all things Paris. Have a fabulous weekend. -Suzanne P.
ReplyDeleteMerci for this glimpse of Spring's arrival in Paris, and for two new places to add to my "next trip" list! Always look forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteLove your posts! I’m going to Paris at the end of May — what type of hats do Parisians wear in the city to block the sun (in addition to SPF sun screen)? I don’t want to look like I’m going to the beach! Nancy
ReplyDeleteThese ‘Yankee caps’ are very popular 👍
DeleteParisians love Yankee caps, University sweatshirts, T-shirts, jeans and sneakers.
DeleteGo figure 🤷♀️
Lovely spring time post. Uplifting makes you want to hum a tune while walking and window shopping down the street.
ReplyDeleteWhat tune will you hum ☺️
DeleteFirst of all, I must say, you look trés cool in that Messy Nessy cap! Secondly, ‘baseball cap’ suffices as a description. As a Red Sox fan, the Yankees are in NO way responsible for baseball caps (let alone style!). Thirdly, I must go to Nessy’s Curiosities Shop asap!
ReplyDeleteEnvious of your fabulous weather…and chocolat! ❤️
Big Merci
DeleteI stand corrected 👍
Will change immédiatement ❤️
Dark and rainy here in 🇨🇦 so this post cheered me right up!! As did seeing your adorable smile!!! 😘from Canada
ReplyDeleteAww…sending you some sunshine 🌞 Nicole ❤️
DeleteThat’s a great shot of you. You are very pretty. Lynne
ReplyDeleteIronic to see this post as I'm fixing lobstah rolls for dinner tonight and I bought the Paris People Watching cap from Messy Nessy on my last trip. We must be on the same wave length today.
ReplyDeleteToo funny Sukie
DeleteJoined at the hip I guess ❤️
Enjoy the sunshine of spring!!!
ReplyDeleteDo wear sunscreen and hats to protect from the sun. We have an Australian government department weather app that shows when you need sun protection, which is very handy.
Simple food at fancy restaurants doesn’t quite work does it, though the chairs and decor look nice!
Fancy joints knocking off working class food or fashion houses like Balenciaga charging up to $2,590 for sneakers?
DeleteDo they have fugde for ice crew in Paris.
ReplyDeleteI’ve never seen actual fudge candy in Paris. cafe le flore en l'ile does a very mean hot chocolate sundae ❤️
DeleteThanks for letting us know about the Messy Nessy podcast. Enjoyed
