Friday night, after my run to la Poste 📮 in the dark and cold drizzle
It’s the perfect escape into childhood. Today I visited the ‘downtown’ Astier de Villatte for the 1st time, but that’s a tale for another day.
While we’re in our current mad state of escape and denial of realité, consider a gift for yourself or a friend of a 6-pack of Marie-Antoinette whimsical letters (sent out flat with a bit of pink ribbon and a perfume card or two). What a great source of escape dear M-A provides with a helping hand from Sophia. Ladurée is certainly one big Marie-Antoinette time-machine. Look, even the Paris Metro is decked out in tree ornaments. Please be good PBers. I have more Paris shops for you ❤️!
Paris is THE BEST place to be during the holidays...it is SO festive...a holiday wonderland! Thank you for bringing us along to Astier de Villatte. Their ornaments are delightfully unique. They are going on my list of “must visit” shops for next year. Your Marie Antoinette letters look wonderful, Carol. I am very excited to hear you have more shops to show us...looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteLove your post. The white tree branch would be great for displaying some of those beautiful ornaments.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the last photo.
Be well.
Aren’t you the clever duck GA. That is exactly what Astier has in their windows. White branch trees to best show off the ornaments!
ReplyDeleteI never noticed....
Paris is a wonderful place for kids to experience the holidays. Love your ornament choices...so hard to decide?!
ReplyDeleteDelightful shop...hide the credit cards! So much temptation.
ReplyDeleteEvery year my parents would bring out the ornaments to decorate the tree. Rediscovering favorite ornaments and the memories attached to them was a wonderful thing. Astier Villatte’s ornaments will be creating the same kind of memories.
ReplyDeleteNow I want to be there next year virus free at the time they have Christmas. Talk about eye candy!!
ReplyDeleteHave a good Sunday. Love your carousel.
Take care
OMG, as an ornament collector, I would loose my mind there. Every year I say I won't buy any more (after all I'm 78 & decorating gets harder every year) but, I only bought 8 this year. Your M-A letters are really beautiful and so fun.
ReplyDeleteAnother Christmas World!
ReplyDeleteThank you
I was thinking they were a little silly - then I went insane for the pearly poodle!!!
ReplyDeleteI bet its so pretty at Christmas..
ReplyDeleteHaha Yves,
ReplyDeleteI know. I went insane for a tin merry-go-round
I love your emails, everything is always so beautiful. I forward it on to several friends, telling them they must sign up for them and to also check out your Etsy page! Thank you for sending a piece of my favorite city to me!
ReplyDeleteOMG...I would have been on a spending craze with all the baubles and decor and such!! One of the things I love about France.is all the intricacies..and delicacies...j'adore ca!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the amazing share
The color of their ornaments and the floral arrangements and with all their cream colored ceramics in the background. I Really am living through you right now.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for popping in to Astier de Villatte! I didn't realise they had a full-on Christmas range. I'm not mad for decorating for Christmas, but it's fun to see what they display. So pretty and chic!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shop! Thank you for taking us there Carol. We have a Christmas piano as we don't really have a spot for a tree. Joyeux Noël!
ReplyDeleteOh, those little figures look like my Vintage by Crystal ones! I must remember this spot for next time in Paris!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! It looks like dishes of confections. I would love to come to Pairs at Christmas time.

Wow!!! I wasn’t expecting this. My heart started being faster and no it wasn’t from the marmalade I had on my toast. Once again, thank you for sharing these delights. Picked up my morning immensely
