Macaron Nonsense

Pierre Herme macarons for Corey,watercolor, 5.5" x 7.5"Lately I've been painting macarons in bags.We can hale Pierre Herme for complete transparency.
I'm casting my vote for PH for pres on Nov 4! Only kidding. Why hide your beauty under a bushel? rhere's nothing wrong with transparent boxes for macs. But there is something about a cello bag that makes for immediate gratification. Why fuss with ribbons or scotch tape? My Cousin Bill asked me if I ever got bored painting macarons? Never! It puts me into a trance-like state. There's something about painting round shapes (my fav shape) in pretty colors that is almost as satisfying as eating them. I discovered this morning that I only have 83 pictures of macarons in my Flickr pics out of 1,000+! How can this be? MORE MACS TO COME! I feel as if I don't have enough delegates.
A PB reader asked me if the scent of macarons lingers the boxes I've collected?
Sadly no. I checked and there is no scent. But I will be doing much sniffing in Paris in 21 days I promise you

Okay, me too...need one of those to crunch on here with my tea....it is probably pathetic or deviant or very telling that I love the cellophanes and boxes too!

Imagine Paris in 21 days!!! Now there is something fabulous to wake up to .

Beautiful bagged macarons. I can hear them crinkle.

They are beyond words! The color, the shape, the perfection! 80+ is a good start but it's funny how you never get tired of painting them and we never get tired of looking at them! What's happening in 21 days?

Hi Carol,

I was just checking out the macarons in our bakery here in Antony-- They have flavors such as: mojito, bulle de fraise, sangria, and some other interesting ones... And.. they just changed their packaging to really pretty hot pink/bright orange cookie boxes....

I have to say I'm a plain vanilla kind of macaron girl.
Just give me a CARAMEL macaron and I am in heaven. I love lemon and passion fruit too. Raspberry in a pinch. all those exotic flavors are for me like hot pepper chocolate. No reason to go over the top IMO :)
