Yesterday at Wal-Mart (so un-Parisienne of me to say that...)the German check-out lady asked her customer where she was from, in which she answered "Italy". As they parted they said "Happy Thanksgiving" to each other!

ReplyDeleteMade me smile, the comment about non-natives (no pun intended *g*) sharing Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is such a loving feast with great food, you gotta love it. My Washingtonian neighbors always made fun of me, because I grew to be such a stickler with American holidays. ;-)
