Yesterday at Wal-Mart (so un-Parisienne of me to say that...)the German check-out lady asked her customer where she was from, in which she answered "Italy". As they parted they said "Happy Thanksgiving" to each other!

Is your vegetarian Turkey at the veterinarian's?
A paper turkey could do the trick
or
a chocolate turkey for Miss Corey...

Happy belated Thanksgiving, Carol!
Made me smile, the comment about non-natives (no pun intended *g*) sharing Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is such a loving feast with great food, you gotta love it. My Washingtonian neighbors always made fun of me, because I grew to be such a stickler with American holidays. ;-)
All the best, and great leftovers, to all of you,
M.
