Fauchon Boutons de Rose...

Fauchon Boutons de Rose
Fauchon's Infusion Boutons de Rose Tea, 9" x 11 1/2"

If you love Fauchon's pale pink brand color,
you couldn't do better than to buy their tisane, Boutons de Rose.

1. Put a pinch of these perfect rose buds into an infusion pot.
2. Pour over the boiling water.
3. Cover and let brew for 10 minutes.
This soothing tea is used for improving circulation and to aid digestion. And it's best drunk after dinner, at least in France, that's the way.
Established in 1886 by Auguste Fauchon, Fauchon is one of the world's leading gourmet food and specialty companies and one of my favorites.
If you love to browse at Fauchon or take tea at the US, New York flagship store at 442 Park Avenue (at 56th Street) get over there before April 1.
Their lease is up and who know's where they'll go?
Fauchon's LAST DAY is THIS SUNDAY, Feb 25!
Their closure was moved up :(
Quelle domage.
Of course there's always the Paris store
30, Place de la Madeleine.

LOVE the blog today. It's one of your best... and the painting is BEAUTIFUL... Now that would REALLY look good on my wall. ;-)

  3. That watercolour - wow, it is my favourite one ever. Fabulous Carol. As you know I hate flavoured teas but those roses will be mine when I go to Paris soon.

  9. what a beautiful your painting!

  10. I totally think this is my all time favourite of yours....and that is soooo difficult, as I think so everyday, but this post is truly stunning
Thanks for giving so much joy!!!

  11. So much beauty in the morning to revel in! Thank you, Carol, and compliments, huge ones, each watercolor seems to be the best, even though for only a day or so, til you show us a new one.
I've seen these rose bud teasanes in Vienna stores, now I am tempted to buy a bagful. Soon. Maybe it helps me get over my Venetian blues.

The flower to the left is marvelously painted, and the suggestion of the rose petals in the jar is very winsome. (Those little spots of darker mauve over the light pink rose buds, and the rosebud on top of the jar are just delightful.)
A big fave of your watercolors...

  14. Votre l'art c'est magnifique! Je suis 'in love'. Merci!

Carol! You're torturing me. You know I can't show my face in Fauchon anymore. Maybe a disguise...

  16. Wonderful painting!
Pretty, invitng, sweet and so very you!

Th jar of Fauchon Rosebuds my kind of jewels!

  17. Fauchon is wonderful. Too bad the New York store closed down, although I never was there anywhere. Too big flagship stores closed down here in Chicago recently and it was sad to see them go.
I'd love to have that jar of rosebuds even if I never drink the tea.

Had I bought this jar of "boutons de roses" from Fauchon, I would have certainly keep it as a decoration on one shelf or on an "armoire"... I just love it...
    I love your watercolour too...

  19. I wish I could get my hands on a jar of those roses. I must see who imports them to australia - if at all. Thanks for the lovely poems and watercolours.

  20. i love your painting. specifically how the saucer is negative space. did you take the photo of Fauchon? It's v. cool.

Love hearing from you
