Le Village International de la Gastronomie - Tour Eiffel

Just for a lark…

No larks
To be seen,
But everything else under the sun 🌞
 Entry tickets 🎟️ are 5€
To eat
And drink.
 SANGRIA!
Fresh coconut 🥥 water. Yum
From 55 countries, some I barely heard of.
There was a similar mini international gastronomie village at Bastille during Xmas. I went with Julia, who is in Tahiti at the moment.
Julia, you missed the Tahiti tent!
A fancy chef hunkering down on his break, looking for new flavors peut-être ?
There was of course music with drums 🪘 an essential.
Fabulous regional costumes.
Eating tables down the center aisle for instant picnics 🧺
Divine Persian jam - mirabelle plums with saffron from Maison Boteh.
What is a LAOS Hot dog 🌭 ? Have you tried?
Bottarga is a codfish roe delicacy I once had to bring back to someone…I still haven’t tried it.
Madagascar vanilla chocolate 🍫 tasting 👍
I have been looking for these crunchy, thin mystery Italian crackers for YEARS, but you could only buy olive 🫒 oil 🤷🏻‍♀️
A fun relaxing visit if you’re in Paris this weekend.
I found my fav roasted corn by the bridge to the Eiffel Tower 🤸‍♂️
I’m Carol Gillott, an artist living in Paris. Every month I send out beautifully illustrated letters 💌 from ETSY that capture the true Parisian experience.

Love those Italian crackers and had forgotten about them! Maybe I’ll remember to look for them in Italy tomorrow.

  5. What a fun event, right under the Eiffel Tower! The hardest thing seems to be choosing what to eat, though I agree the ice cream is a must.

I ate a pastel de Nata, a Brazilian little cod thing, the roasted corn and the ice cream 🍦 I wish they had those amazing dates from Saudi Arabia like the last time…

Trader Joe’s used to sell the Italian crackers under the name, “Sardinian Parchment Crackers Pane Guttiau”. It looks like they may have discontinued selling them.

There are recipe videos on YouTube…maybe you need a wood-burning stove?
