Mario Luraschi, Les Chevaux dans la Ville

I hadn’t heard of Mario LURASCHI before yesterday

But I ran back
Anyway
To try to catch his equestrian show,
At Place de la Concorde
Anyway.
The crowd was 10 deep so the most I could catch was
The occasional glimpse of horse’s 🐎 mane flying by between elbows and copious hairdos.  Frustrating!!
So who is the renown Mario Luraschi? He is France’s top horse stuntman,
Horse filmmaker, assisting
And creating scenes
In over 500 films 🎥 like probably any Napoleon film ever made.
He’s been in the film business for 56 years.
Plus he gives spectacular performances all over Europe with his troupe.
I will be on the lookout for any performances in Paris!
The opening day on Friday,
At Les Chevaux 🐎 dans la Ville
Was a lot less exciting, but still a beautiful day.
Several training schools like Afasec for racing
Did demonstrations.
Quite a few young women are training to be jockeys 🏇
France 🇫🇷 has 233 race tracks/hippodromes!
The US 🇺🇸 has about 69. Australia 🇦🇺 has the most tracks - 322 🏇
You could virtually experience running an obstacle course. I didn’t try it.
I could have gotten up on the horse for a picture..🙄 Je regret beaucoup. It was a fun 2-day introduction to French racing and will probably continue next year & become an annual event before the start of the Fall racing season.
Meanwhile Paris is packed with vacation returnees showing off their suntans along the Seine.
Bon Dimanche ❤️

Amazing! Wish we could’ve gone, but we’re packing and moving next week 🥰
Take care and I’m so happy you’ve found your way to horses. Shannon
