PINK PINK PINK.
It can't hurt?
Pictures from a stroll down rue Dauphine in the 6th arrondissement. Full of pinkness like these giant pink meringues. Or a pink wedding cake. From Amuzilo, 34 rue Dauphine, a kid's toy shop with mostly pink things. Boys, go somewhere else! Pink twirling silliness.

Silly dogs in pink chapeau..
From the Salon du Chocolat, piles of pink nougat - framboise or fraise? Doesn't anyone need pink ink/l'encre rose?
Isn't that an anniversary cake for OLIVER PEOPLES??
ReplyDeleteIt would make a nice wedding cake too...
My favorite color. I think Paris has a lot more pink than say NY or LA. Or maybe I just notice it more there. Any more news on your possible move to Paris? I love the pink doggie hat. My Syndey-Marie would look very fetching in that!
ReplyDeletePaint the town pink! :-)
ReplyDeleteVenetians and Parisians seem to have a love affair with giant meringues.
I am always looking for somebody buying one of those giant egg white clouds, so far without success. The day I catch somebody in the act, I shall how in the world they are going to go about eating it! ;-)
Will be looking for pink calligraphy paint..red is not as pretty:)
ReplyDeleteYour watercolor is so perfect..all the fragile layers~
This reminds me of how persnickety Parisians can be about their color spectrum, something I learned when I went to my dry cleaners to pick up a sweater that I described to the patronne as "rose". The patronne searched her stacks of neatly folded vetements until she located my ticket number and plopped my "rose" sweater down on the counter. She stabbed at it with her finger and gave me a very stern and exasperated look. "Ca n e'est pas ROSE," she informed me; "That's MAUVE."
ReplyDeleteI still hear her voice every time I lay eyes on that brooding, violetish tone of pink.
Can you hear me laughing!! :O
Deletehahahahahaha
That is called ATTENTION TO DETAIL!!!
And there is always pink champagne
ReplyDeleteFrench, of course

You have converted me to pink! But the best pink is your mile-feuilles (sp?) painting!
ReplyDeleteLove your opening watercolor!
ReplyDeleteA lot of pink in there :)
I've always thought of it as a sexy color, as in Valentine's Day and undies - not that I dwell on such things.....
Love your closing shot, too!
Pink = little girls
