ParisienneAnne Corrons of MesVitrinesNYC (now MesVitrinesParis/London) gave me a detailed tour of the first Xmas vitrines in Paris...i.e. Galeries Lafayette!
MIAM-MIAM
A fantasie tea party for two... Dreamy Nicole Kidman-like femmes...
One of them very much turned...
Upside down! What was in the tea?
Anne tells me this means BIG Xmas!
Anne about to take a shot, and I'm about to go off to Philadelphia for the Holiday. Here's hoping I don't get turned upside down and you either!!! See you next week... BON HOLIDAY!
Have a wonderful time in Philly, Carol--my nephew is arriving from Philly here in GA today. That painting is so fabulous! You are on a roll, cutie. I love it! So whimsical and lovely, and just the right loose and delicate touch! You go it so right.
Ever considered doing a foodie/ fun art tour for seasoned travelers? For those of us who have been to Paris several times, it is always wonderful to gain a new perspective. Getting to the chocolate fair would have been great - there is always next year! I like many of your articles: recent ones include the cups, mugs. If not a tour, perhaps a list of fun events/ shopping places.
Please continue with your wonderful blog. It perks up many people's day. I also enjoy your lovely watercolors esp. the food ones.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving down south in Philly! Last time I was there, was exactly this weekend, at the turn of the month, I am getting almost nostalgic. ;-)
Bonjour ! I’m Carol Gillott, a former NYer living on Île Saint-Louis in a 21 meter chambre de bonne. As a Paris blogger, travel writer, watercolorist, and photographer, I share my latest escapades so you can walk around the city vicariously in my shoes. To experience even more of the Parisian life, sign up to receive my beautifully Illustrated monthly letters where I paint the Paris your dreams and mail them
to you wherever you are. You can order these letters, along with my art prints, at my Etsy shop.
Describe what you love about France in 3 words. Can we make it 5 words? Eyes, ears, nose, tastebuds + brain. Paris stimulates all my senses constantly. I’m inspired all the time – endlessly surprised and amused. New York doesn’t do it for me anymore…
Ohh !
