Yellow Bird always insists on the best.
Still PAUL's is nothing to sniff at...
Love croissants...and your paintings of them are always excellent, Carol! Have a wonderful Monday!
ReplyDeletehmmm...didn't take my name--it's just me, Carol. (sue)
ReplyDeleteThis was a REAL Paris breakfast and torture!!!!! I'm overdue for a trip to Paris and these images are really working on me... so thank you and keep up the good work. ;oD
ReplyDeleteNo more for me please...I am beginning to look like a croissant!! Do you think real French girls eat croissants?? Maybe not, xv.
ReplyDeleteI got it right ...
ReplyDeleteLoved having those when I went to France ...
Oh my mouth is watering so! And that first pic reminded me how they always twist the bags closed.
ReplyDeleteAh...I can almost smell those croissants!
J'adore ta blog! Which begs the question is "blog" masculine or feminine? Of course, I could avoid the dilemna by referring to votre blog, but since we have petite dejeuner together most mornings, I am hoping you are okay with tutoyer-ing. Your blog is formidable! I go to Paris once a week. Oui, that is correct. Which of course means that I am une hotesse de l'air. And you perfectly capture the essence of this most beautiful city in the world. Thank you for all the work which I know goes into this labor of love and for sharing it with toute le monde!
ReplyDeleteMerci!
Kay
j'adore le petit déjeuner!
ReplyDeletevas voir le mien.

I love Yellow Bird!
ReplyDeleteThe posters are great, too, and your night shots!
As much as I love a French croissant, my favorite is the pain aux raisins. Oh my gosh, those are sooo good. American bakers could get rich making them... no, on second thought it wouldn't be the same. Guess I'll have to wait until my next visit to Paris. Four weeks and counting down!! Whoopee!!
ReplyDeleteHi Carol,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the "yummy" photos. Just curious--what does "1/2 flute" mean?
Mary
It's 1/2 of a small baguette Mary.
ReplyDeleteI need a croissant. Seriously, right now.
ReplyDeleteOn NPR this morning (Morning Edition) they did a little piece on La R'entree (le?) I think you can probably listen to it on their website...The thing that impressed me most is the thought of taking 4 weeks off all together...heaven!
I love croissants, they are delicious! Your blog is always lovely to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much You mean you get a drink, a croissant and 1/2 baguette, too?
ReplyDeleteTht sounds like my kind of breakfast.
Mary
Non! jamais
ReplyDeleteou = or
