This was a REAL Paris breakfast and torture!!!!! I'm overdue for a trip to Paris and these images are really working on me... so thank you and keep up the good work. ;oD
J'adore ta blog! Which begs the question is "blog" masculine or feminine? Of course, I could avoid the dilemna by referring to votre blog, but since we have petite dejeuner together most mornings, I am hoping you are okay with tutoyer-ing. Your blog is formidable! I go to Paris once a week. Oui, that is correct. Which of course means that I am une hotesse de l'air. And you perfectly capture the essence of this most beautiful city in the world. Thank you for all the work which I know goes into this labor of love and for sharing it with toute le monde! Merci! Kay
As much as I love a French croissant, my favorite is the pain aux raisins. Oh my gosh, those are sooo good. American bakers could get rich making them... no, on second thought it wouldn't be the same. Guess I'll have to wait until my next visit to Paris. Four weeks and counting down!! Whoopee!!
I need a croissant. Seriously, right now. On NPR this morning (Morning Edition) they did a little piece on La R'entree (le?) I think you can probably listen to it on their website...The thing that impressed me most is the thought of taking 4 weeks off all together...heaven!
I paint Paris dreams and mail ๐ฎ them ❤️ wherever you are ๐ Receive an illustrated letter ๐ every month from Paris, France ๐ซ๐ท Hi, I’m Carol Gillott, watercolorist ex-NYer living on Ile St-Louis in a 20 meter chambre de bonne sending out Illustrated letters monthly from Paris. A travel artist, travel blogger, writer, watercolorist, photographer, I share my personal travels experiences so you can travel vicariously through my sketches and words.
Describe what you love about France in 3 words. Can we make it 5 words? Eyes, ears, nose, tastebuds + brain. Paris stimulates all my senses constantly. I’m inspired all the time – endlessly surprised and amused. New York doesn’t do it for me anymore…

No more for me please...I am beginning to look like a croissant!! Do you think real French girls eat croissants?? Maybe not, xv.
I got it right ...
Loved having those when I went to France ...
Oh my mouth is watering so! And that first pic reminded me how they always twist the bags closed.
Ah...I can almost smell those croissants!

Hi Carol,
Thanks for the "yummy" photos. Just curious--what does "1/2 flute" mean?
