A wonderful flight of fancy today.
Funny that birds should be so associated with the holidays...
It seems more appropriate for this Bergdorf Goodman Xmas window... Absolutely chock-a-block with birds... And titled "SPRING"!!?? What would you retitle it? Shall I make this one of those blog contests? OK! The BEST retitling of this window gets this "BIRD" watercolor!!! Rules of the contest...
It's fun! We chose the same windows!!!!! I'm a big fan of Bergdorf!
ReplyDeleteI suggest "Flights of Fantasy"
ReplyDeleteBonjour...
ReplyDeleteI know I can't enter but I would call it:
"Fanciful Flight meets the White Knight"
Merci and Good Luck everybody - A "Bird" painting will soon belong to a lucky one of you.
I suggest "Hiver Exotica".
ReplyDelete"I'm Dreaming of a White...Bird..." This window is magical!
ReplyDeleteBirds of a feather...celebrate together!
ReplyDeleteOver the Cuckoo's Nest
ReplyDeleteLet's Fly the Coop
How about? "Les Oiseaux Windows"
ReplyDeleteLove your blog...have you seen the latest Williams Sonoma Catalog...they are selling parisian macarons!
Wings of Desire
ReplyDeleteUp the Oiseau
Birds of Paradise
ReplyDeleteHow about "Frosted Featers dans la Fenetre" ?
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! Thank you for taking me to Paris or NYC daily!
I suggest: La Fete des Oiseaux. Margaret B. - Atlanta
ReplyDeleteVitrine Vitré ?

It looks like someone's dream of a white Christmas party.
She's gone to the birds!
ReplyDeleteThey're magical! I'm not good at this kind of thing...Reves des oiseaux d'hiver? (dreams of winter birds?) Gorgeous!
ReplyDelete"Wondrous Winged Whimsey"

Magical Flights
Vols magique
I suggest "Aviary on Ice" for your contest.
ReplyDeletePardon my fractured French:
ReplyDeleteLa maison de Jadis
This is exactly how I would imagine Jadis, the White Witch in the Chronicles of Narnia, at home!
Kind of creepy, actually....
Going to the Birds!
ReplyDeleteIs Bergdorf Going to the Birds?
Silent white - all is calm, all is bright.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI have two suggestions. For now anyway. One is A Dove's Dream. the other (in my lousy French) reverie en ivoire or reverie in ivory.
Marie
How about Folie sur l'aile blanche?
ReplyDeleteWhen looking at the window photo I thought..
ReplyDeleteWinter's elegance. Then I thought
Winter white, soft as feathers.
I love the literary birds. I think this proves that "bird brains" is a total fallacy.
ReplyDeleteI'd call it "A Mid-Winter Nest"
ReplyDeleteFeather Fest Folly
ReplyDeleteAll of the titles suggested so far are so great I don't know how you will pick just one. Perhaps you will have to draw straws? Living in FL I can't relate to all the white, it looks so cold. I guess I'll throw my suggestion in as "Lost Snowbirds" (they can't find their way to FL. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHieronymus Bosch of Paradise
ReplyDeleteSnowy migration
The cabinet of ornithological curiosities
Paris Paints the Night
ReplyDelete"Birds grace the snow, grace the sky."
ReplyDelete:D
Thanks for the contest!
A birdseye view of winter.

ReplyDeleteoh what fun!!! and how strange to have the window titles "Spring"
ReplyDeleteI think I will have to call it...

ailes givrées
Have a wonderful evening!!!
Hugs
Diana
'Babette beseiged by Bergdorf's bizarre bird bubble'
ReplyDeleteor
'Fabulous flock frozen in aspic'
Thank you for a fun chance to win one of your beautiful paintings!
All I can think of when I look at it is "Feathered Femmes & Friends".
ReplyDeleteIt's quite the display, isn't it? I'd love to see your watercolor interpretation of it...
Ms L
Titania, Queen of the Fairies
ReplyDeleteAMAZING window... soooooooooo beautiful! I have got to make a trip to NYC for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHad I been "allowed" to share in the game, I would have said : "One bird in the window is worth two in the bush"!
ReplyDeleteBergdorf window, hmmm? Very interesting. Beautiful photo too Carol. I have no idea what I would rename this...but I agree with you, "Spring" certainly doesn't work for me...
ReplyDeleteLes Oiseaux d'Hiver?
Winter Solstice's Birds of a Feather
ReplyDeleteor
Birds of a Feather
White Birds of a Feather
ReplyDeleteSue A.
Bonjour,
ReplyDeleteI signed up recently and love your daily emails.
Here is my title:
Caught Up In The Rapture Of Birdly Delights
Thanks!
Jessie C.
Hi Carol,
ReplyDeleteI call this " mystical night"
Best,
Melanie
My suggestion would be "An Aviary Apparition"
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous. Too bad the art of window dressing is limited to the big cities,it seems.
I didn't want to muddy the contest waters with an irreverent post but my very first thought was "Pillow Fight!"
ReplyDeleteOoh, I have another one. Sorry, but I can't get this contest off of my mind: "The Tiki Chici Room." My favorite place at Dineyland is the Tiki Room, "Where the birds all sing and the flowers bloom, in the tiki tiki room."
ReplyDeleteOne more and then I promise I'll quite:"Birds of a feather winter together."
Beautiful. Flocks of fun. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLate for the party but I see I am excluded anyway :( I have a great title but I can't share it.
