Funny that birds should be so associated with the holidays...
It seems more appropriate for this Bergdorf Goodman Xmas window... Absolutely chock-a-block with birds... And titled "SPRING"!!??What would you retitle it? Shall I make this one of those blog contests? OK!The BEST retitling of this windowgets this "BIRD" watercolor!!! Rules of the contest...
Please live in the USA!
You have until MIDNIGHT today, Tuesday to leave your title herein the comments!!!
Emailed titles don't count.
This dog baying at the moon was not part of the bird-themed window...
But this baby with beans was...
This cock-eyed reading cockatoo went in upside down and refused to co-operate! :(
Are there literary references here?
There certainly are plenty of bookish birds present for sure!
Here's a full view of the bird-themed window, so put your thinking caps on and get cracking!
All of the titles suggested so far are so great I don't know how you will pick just one. Perhaps you will have to draw straws? Living in FL I can't relate to all the white, it looks so cold. I guess I'll throw my suggestion in as "Lost Snowbirds" (they can't find their way to FL. ;-)
Bergdorf window, hmmm? Very interesting. Beautiful photo too Carol. I have no idea what I would rename this...but I agree with you, "Spring" certainly doesn't work for me...
Ooh, I have another one. Sorry, but I can't get this contest off of my mind: "The Tiki Chici Room." My favorite place at Dineyland is the Tiki Room, "Where the birds all sing and the flowers bloom, in the tiki tiki room."
One more and then I promise I'll quite:"Birds of a feather winter together."
Bonjour ! I’m Carol Gillott, a former NYer living on Île Saint-Louis in a 21 meter chambre de bonne. Describe what you love about France in 3 words. Can we make it 5 words? Eyes, ears, nose, tastebuds + brain. Paris stimulates all my senses constantly. I’m inspired all the time – endlessly surprised and amused. New York doesn’t do it for me anymore…
It's fun! We chose the same windows!!!!! I'm a big fan of Bergdorf!

Hi Carol,
ReplyDeleteI call this " mystical night"
Best,
Melanie
My suggestion would be "An Aviary Apparition"
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous. Too bad the art of window dressing is limited to the big cities,it seems.
I didn't want to muddy the contest waters with an irreverent post but my very first thought was "Pillow Fight!"
ReplyDeleteOoh, I have another one. Sorry, but I can't get this contest off of my mind: "The Tiki Chici Room." My favorite place at Dineyland is the Tiki Room, "Where the birds all sing and the flowers bloom, in the tiki tiki room."
