Chocolate 🍫 Christmas 🎄

Yesterday was my ‘get out of jail free’ day

After mailing 📮 out the Croissant 🥐 letters,
And I took full advantage of every opportunity.
What better way to start the day than with Angelina hot chocolate/chocolat chaud ☕️
I did not venture inside the madhouse, no matter how enticing.
Instead I went to Artcurial auction house at Rond Point
To view the first-ever auction of
Unique chocolate creations
By 25 top French pastry chefs to raise funds, all proceeds to be donated to BAB Charity for children.
Created by Sebastien Bouillet est.4000€
It would be nice to take the occasional lick of one’s chocolate desk top when ever in the mood.
Chocolate table design by Pierre Hermé est. 4000€
Imagine company relaxing after dinner with a digestif and helping themselves to an after dinner bon bon from the coffee table….
The same with these convenient chocolates framed 🖼️ under glass.
Approximately 4000€
Pierre Hermé offered this strange underwater-influenced sculpture
Reflecting themes in his Christmas collection windows.
The auction is Monday, 1 December at 8pm. You can still view these yummy chocolates 🍫 today and tomorrow for free entry.
From there I wandered around looking for festive windows…
Parfumeur Francis Kurkdjian has brought the snow ⛄️
And 🎄trees inside of his shop. Wear you goulashes.
Is this a bear 🐻 in Dior’s window?
Reflecting the facade decor?
Round the corner Chanel has gone sparkly ribbon 🎀
On 52, Champs-Elysées, Lancôme has reopened
Their 🥀 cafe de la Rose again. Pastries are 16€
At this point I was ready to head home…
For a nice bowl of pumpkin soup 🥣 & a nap 💤
Do stop in my Etsy shop for some fun holiday gifts 🎁

My taxi driver pointed out the chocolate shop of Josephine Vannier the other day to me . He said a real artist in chocolate…I figure you have checked out her shop.

How do you keep the chocolate so it doesn’t melt or deteriorate? Do you even eat a €4000+ masterpiece? Or the €10,000 one?

It is the centerpiece of your luxe holiday party. All the children step forward in a neat row, in their very best clothes. Then each wields a sterling sulver hammer for 3 taps. At the moment of collapse, the servers step in and put the pieces on giant silver trays for all to partake.
