St. Valentin Paris

Why was I surprised? February 1 the Valentine hearts came out in every Paris vitrine - this is Pierre Herme's window decorated with silvered macarons hanging.
Granted I am new to loving chestnut cream. This Mont Blanc-esque heart looks very appealing from Sebastien Gaudard.
Mon petit chou can mean my little cream puff not just my little cabbage. Who knew?
A mini heart is in the window of the mini shop to the left of Angelina on rue du Rivoli. All mini Limoges boxes and nothing else.
Monoprix would like you to rest your head on their heart pillows - mignon.
N2 the makers of my Red Riding Hood pin make these darling ballerina earings - perfect for Valentine's day IMHO and in Galeries Lafayette.
More lollies/sucettes, these jelly + marshmallow hearts for Valentines.
Sephora wants you to bathe yourself in strawberry lotions and bath goodies - YUM
I like this Valentines message on Cle magazines cover:

Years ago, flying SwissAir from Geneva to Athens, I ate, for the first time, a dessert with chestnut cream...oh-my, was it ever wonderful tasting!

You mean the French wait until Feb. 1 to hawk Valentine's Day?? Here on Long Island the hearts came out on Dec. 26.

I'm so glad you have now discovered chestnut cream. I was new to chestnut on my last trip in 2010. I enjoyed chestnut yoghurt, chestnut lollies (actually I've still got some of those in my cupboard- I love the little tins they come in) and Mont Blancs of course. I love those ballerina ear rings.
