Salon International de l'Agriculture 2026

On Sunday I went to the annual

At the convention center at Porte de Versailles (ligne 12).

I headed to HALLE 7 at the back end of the convention center

For the French 🇫🇷

And international products (Rhum)

I made the grave error

Of stopping (Italian Gelato -Pistache)

On the 1st floor (Algerian dates)

To browse (Italian olives 🫒)

The

International (Swiss Gruyère 🧀 )

Foods 🫣 (can’t remember).

I finally dragged myself

Up to the top floor (French)

You can tell by the proliferation of French 🇫🇷 marinere stripped shirts,

Selling French 🇫🇷 omelettes 🥚 of course.

Also a big

Proliferation

Of saucisson!

Lovely waffles 🧇 (I resisted but when I return…)

Lovely oysters/huitres 🦪

I did not resist (zinc + protein). I was feeling weak..

I resisted

The Brittany Kouign Amann 👏🙏

At least they give you big samples at the Montelimar nougat counter…easier to resist.

French honey 🍯 miel

I can resist…so many choices.

Pain d’épice I cannot resist…but NO samples 😬

The Salon is an annual landmine of temptation.

I have been going since Salon of 2013
🐓
Should I go back for more?
You tell me 😀 ❤️

I have only been to one agricultural fair here in the US years ago; it was not open to the public but I was in culinary school and a teacher gave me a pass. It was nothing like this one you have shown us. This is spectacular!! I would have fainted away at the mounds of products. Amazing! Thank you..someone who lasted 8 years in the industry and finally threw in the towel..kitchen towel..

Yes, this Salon is unique. It’s a ritual for Parisians to take their children at least once and many go every year. It’s also a BIG party for young Parisians who enjoy the beer 🍺 music and farm food.

I would love to go to one of the big agricultural fairs outside Paris, and this is not a priority of any potential travel companions! Thanks for taking me there Carol !

I’m not sure there is anything on this scale outside Paris. There are many specialized fête of course that are great fun. This is an important annual farm industry fair with halle’s full of equipment and seeds etc.

Tell me, did you go alone? I wish I had been there with you to share EVERYTHING - the best way to go a food show - small portions of lots of things! I love these posts, all the food pics. Thank you for sharing!

Yes, I go alone. I would love to have an accomplice. In the past I went many times with SOLLI, since we are both doing research 🔬 🔎 Most others are buying and bring their trolleys. Stuff is heavy! Or else families introducing their children to chickens 🐓 cows 🐄 sheep 🐑 It is school holidays for the week.

So many yummy temptations…so much to see! You showed remarkable restraint having only oysters and a gelato, bravo! 👏🏻
I loved going to the Salon d’Agriculture, only once sadly. You really need more than one day, it is so exhausting! Yes! Go back Carol!! 🏃🏼‍♀️
