A day late for Valentines
From JEAN-PAUL HÉVIN,
Window gazing in Chocolaterie CHAPON,
Nearby, the divine CHOCOLATIER FOUCHER,#134
Next door at #130 Rue du Bac, BOOKBINDERS DESIGN, Valentines 💘 cards.
Ooops, I missed JACQUES GENIN ❤️ at #27 rue Vaneau
I don’t know what was inside his mystery heart ♥️ in the window, but it has to be exceptional 👌
Across the street in ANGELINA a pink thread 🧵 heart ❤️
Description says: This year, Angelina celebrates love through an exclusive creation under the sign of poetry and refinement. By its symbolic form, this creation imagined by our Chef 👨🍳 Christophe Appert evokes the links that are gradually formed and strengthened between two beings. In terms of flavors, the sweetness is expressed around a crunchy almond and a mascarpone mousse delicately flavored with vanilla containing a delicious red fruit compote. A harmonious balance between gluttony and lightness…Bla bla bla
I went outside looking for red jelly hearts ❤️ like BOISSIER #77, Rue du Bac.
Zero, nada, rien de toute.

DeleteLove your beautiful floral sketches, Carol. I love rue du Bac's shops and it has changed a bit recently, hasn't it? including no more photos at Hevin... I guess they no longer want any more of our free promotion while we pay, lol. Cheers with your lovely hot chocolate! Jillx
ReplyDeleteI don’t know Jill. I was shooting 📸 in the windows only. I will ask inside next time. 🤔 That would be a step backwards imo.
DeleteWonderful sweet research…thanks!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun to Paris window shop Dee Ann! ♥️
DeleteHappy Valentine's Day. I loved your bla bla bla. Can't we just savor in peace?
ReplyDeleteRue du Bac is SO fabulous and guaranteed to be an all out calorie bomb! But who’s counting when everything is so scrumptious?! Thank you for taking us along on your Wednesday adventure. L❤️VE your watercolors.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine’s Day! 😘from🇨🇦
ReplyDeleteThanks for a lovely post and all the information!!
ReplyDeleteValentine heaven on Rue du Bac. My husband and I were lucky enough to live just a block away for a time. We could barely afford a chocolate or anything else on rue du Bac, but the lèche vitrine was to die for.
ReplyDeletePerhaps there were no red candies (jelly hearts, etc.) because Europe has forbade companies from using Red Dye #4 for health reasons. I am all for it, but I always got into the Valentine spirit with red jelly heart (mmm). Oh, well. Health is important and I do want to live longer!
ReplyDeleteLoved the chocolate tour of Paris! Our local farmers market in San Diego has wonderful homemade chocolates to sample and we love their vegan dark chocolate covered halvah! But I’m sure your hot chocolate in Paris was more heart warming.
ReplyDeleteLove looking at the beautiful chocolates while I'm stuck with a Hershey's kiss. Happy Valentine's Day to you and Bear.
