Salon du Chocolat 2

I returned to the Salon du chocolat this morning (9:55 at opening time).
Mainly because I ate 😋 all the samples I collected to give my copyshop guy from opening night.

These things happen. Chocolates 🍫for breakfast Yum Yum 🐿️
I started with the ground floor - all the exotic chocolate sources
Like Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Côte d’Ivoire…
Background music for downstairs.
Lots of color
Lots of passion ❤️
Don’t think you can eat/sample & run 🏃‍♂️
Chocolate 🍫 makers want to tell you
Everything about their product in detail 👌so you can make informed choices.
I got to inform this chocolate 🍫 maker, that it should say BEAN TO BAR…not BEEN TO BAR 🙀 Quelle surprise 😮
Hawaii always has beautiful packaging.
You can stock up on vanilla beans direct from Madagascar
And great hunks of cocoa butter.
You could deck yourself out in cocoa bean 🫘 earrings!
Or cocoa bean prints from Brazil.
The best thing I tasted both visits -> these chocolate pre-dipped Madeleines served with lashings of hot chocolate on top! (2€)
A deep dive into that pot of chocolate 🍫  Sugar is not a top note🎵
The intense dark chocolate provides all the singing.
I went back upstairs for another look around.
Mobbed. It’s the start of a major school break for kids.
If you’re into Paris style pastry, upstairs is for you.
I took a break at the pastry demo in the back. Did I snooze 😴 through the sample tasting? I did 🙄
Yesterday I couldn’t believe my eyes 👁️ The longest line ever for Halloween 🎃 costumes!
Lastly a number of pastry ‘hamburgers’ 🍔 in the show
Look pretty close to the burgers in the Metro don’t you think ?

It’s definitely worth You get to experience another side of Parisians. Residents and families. Not the chic or elegant at these events. And very relaxed.

The chocolate-dipped madeleines were well-hidden in a corner. I saw some ppl munching and asked them 👍

I had hoped to attend this show but I arrive in Paris on Wednesday. I am however attending the Made In France expo and the Impérial Chocolat & Gastronomie Show because of the fun adventures you've shared. Thank you for taking us all on your amazing journeys!

Just a general comment and a question: first, I so admire your chutzpah in moving to Paris and second, how much French do you speak at this point? Thanks so much for giving us these wonderful glimpses into our favorite city!

My French is skimpy. I wish I had made more time & effort to improving it 🤷‍♀️
