C'est La Rentree!

C'est la RENTRÉE! All the desserts are back in the vitrines to tempt us again. No rest for the weary.
Lots of chocolatey gateaux for Fall.
Fall fruit tartes are taking front row in the windows.
The train stations are full of returning vacationers with their perfect tans.
So sad they've had to give up all that R and R...
And face up to their ABCs. School starts today!
Though it does make you wish you were a kid again.
The clothes are just gorge for students.
Plenty of appealing cashmeres in the windows too...
But I am not ready for boots yet I can tell you that!
What about all the delish ice creams of Summer?
Isn't this the saddest sight?
At least the bistro dogs are back in town.
Speaking of which, does your pet ask to go to Paris?
We're still painting original watercolors of pets in Paris.
Do contact us (Bear and myself) for more information.

  1. Aww, Parisian kiddy chic does make me wish I could go back to little-school. I'm not ready for boots either! We're having beautiful warm weather in London :))

  2. I'm not ready for summer to end either; however, I do love fall fashion, especially boots.
We leave for Paris on Friday morning... I hope the CDG won't be as busy as the train stations.
    xoxo, B

  3. Gorgeous!
What is the velvety red confection in the second picture, "Death by Chocolate and Raspberry"? ;-)

Have you heard about France's contribution to the Biennale in Venice?
Here you'll find all about it, ->Press kit: Ravel Ravel Unravel.

    1. The label tells uyou zip
I hate that but the berry on top must be a hint no?

  4. J'aime beaucoup R &R ..:)Elle est jolie..
    And your sampler~
My little ones are off to school today too..Very cute the vitrine w/ coloring pencils and book..so many would not see that.

    2. Thank you Carol, your blog is a joy--I look forward to all your posts--I live vicariously!!!

  6. The rentrée for me is all about the new stationary in Gibert Jeune! Who has made new sketch books? Are they making those Rolla-Bind notebooks again? Are Moleskine watercolor journals on sale? What's new at Rougié et Pli?, Géante?, Boesner?

  7. Carol, love the wc here--charming. So many sweets, so little time...

  8. Anonymous3:13 PM

    Love the water color too...

  9. Anonymous3:16 PM

OMG I want that choc piece and the ice cream...how wonderful, nothing looks like the bakeries here compared to Paris....

  10. Anonymous3:17 PM

That manikin looks like actress Lea Saydoux

  11. What? They close the ice cream stands? Oh, you won't see ours close here till at least October!

I always have trouble with rentree.

But I don't think I would if I had a little treat to boost my energy!

  12. Carol, thank you for letting us see the various aspects of la Rentree. Each seems quite stylish, and I particularly thank you for the station overview.

Thank you also for reminding me to go for just one more summer 2013 gelato, while out temps are still high...have you seen the humidity levels on the US Open courts?

Your watercolor is a gem! xo

  13. Anonymous9:30 PM

Gorgeous! We are on our way!

  14. So sad to have the icecream stands closing up, but the new season specialities do look amazing. So much to look forward to with the coming autumn.

Love hearing from you
