Grandes Serres Tropical 🌴 Jardin des Plantes

Stepping into a wild jungle 🌴

When the rest of the world 🗺️
Seems to be going to hell

In a hand basket 🧺

Is not a bad idea 👍

Last week I was
invited to a

Palm Tree 🌴 exposition

At Grandes Serres - Jardin des Plantes

Have you ever been?

Probably never appeared

On your Paris 🥐 to-do list.

By the way the toucan is the guide to all the fun facts on Palm Trees 🌴 They eat the fruit of palm trees.

I got carried away with drawing the toucans…

I get invited to these previews because

I draw ✍️ onsite = resident artiste 🧑‍🎨

I discovered I ❤️ Palm Trees 🌴

Did you know Palms are not a tree? 🌳

But related to lilies and grasses!

Palm trees grow mostly in tropical areas and deserts, but I saw some this morning in Paris!

They are called Palms because their fronds resemble hands 🙌
The funny thing is

Since last week

I keep bumping into Toucans!
Karmic destiny?

The other funny thing is w
ith my collection of maybe 1,001 brushes,
I am mostly painting

With chopsticks 🥢 Life is full of surprises.
Funny thing is…when I went to eat my Asian noodle soup 🥣 I discovered I had no more wooden chopsticks to eat it with!
I went yesterday to a very crowded, but wonderful new exhibit, GUSTAVE FEYET at Fondation Louis Vuitton.
Report coming soon.
🖼️
I jazzed up Marché des Enfants Rouge to make it more fun 🎉

I worry that visitors miss out on this rich combination of gardens, menagerie and museums.

I've been to Munich's greenhouses, which includes a palm tree house, but not this one in Paris. Putting it on my to-do list now :-).

What a lovely idea, for a day of escapism! Don’t miss the Dodo Mènage, the carousel of extinct and endangered animals. Amazing collection of brushes Carol!
