You don't need to leave town
Just come to Paris Plage
It was jumping last Sunday
Yet sooo relaxed.
There was a lot of jitterbugging going on for sure even in the heat
To this hot hot band
Everyone was havin' a good time
Drinking lots of apéro classiques
The bars were busy
SUMMER TIME in Paris!!
There were oysters too like at the beach
Or you could cool off walking by the misters..
Or on the grass by the Seine.
I cooled off with a pistache, framboise gelato comme d'habitude.

ReplyDeleteTrès été..and I love all the blue and white..
ReplyDeletepacked terrasses..here too..people love eating outdoors..I know I do except when the humidex is so high you have no energy:)
What is apero classique?
ReplyDeleteGood question. I should have said but I was running to catch my train bla bla.
DeleteTo begin with an apero is short for aperitiv..a light, usually low alcholic drink..with ice cubes and bubly water plus an aromatic drink like Aperol or Campari...both bitters. Plus maybe a splash of orange juice, a slice of oranfe. Its dunk with small snacks and supposed to arouse your appetite for dinner to come.its a big deal in France especially in the summertime.
I hope that helps 😀
Happy Summer from HOT Oklahoma! Over 100 degress!!
ReplyDeleteCarol, This seems like a wonderful experience for all. Thank you. S.

ReplyDeleteIt really is much more fun than New York as I remember it....more relaxed.

ReplyDeletesummer in paris is wonderful. we're baking in NY heat with a.c'ed interiors to keep us sane. but any summer i've been in paris, i had beautiful weather, windows open, "un pull" at nite.
