Macarons for Sophia, original watercolor,9" x 11"
Sometimes I get funny requests from PB readers, like a Mumbai CEO wants to order macarons for his bosses' private jet. I get a lot of orders for real macarons. If only I could bake and if only I had a patisserie like Sophia's dollhouse project.
voila Sophia's dollhouse project. 
"I am very pleased with the way it turned out and would be delighted for you to do a post.
I am making a very, very big dollhouse and was searching for French minis for it one day on the web. I found the facade on the website of La Boite a Joujoux, the miniature shop in Passage Jouffroy.
 The picture on the back wall is the ceiling that I manipulated on the computer and then glazed with stained glass medium to add the brush strokes. The chef doll is by Marcia Blackstrom. |
...for quite a long time and enfin.
At 20€ I decided it was just too tiny to go with other pastries and returned it the next day with no regrets. I figured out how to make my own boxes happily.

I had so much fun looking at that cute box. I would love to make one of those, it is just so cute. Thank you for sharing it today. It made me smile looking at all those details.

ReplyDeleteSophia's project makes me want to turn myself into a miniature person. Hmm, but then I couldn't eat the extra large macarons that Laduree makes.;-)

Wow----thanks so much for posting my little patisserie on your blog! I did send a couple photos to Laduree--I doubt they will respond but what the heck. Hope we'll meet there someday.

Carol this is just STUNNING!! It takes my breath away each time I look at it, GAWD you're sooo good!! I also agree with loveitaly. Laduree has quite an incredible Ambassador available to them in YOU. It makes me wonder if they are aware of your amazing talent and inspiring marketing program ;)

Just love your blog/website! I look forward to checking on the new paintings every day, and the latest posts on miniatures has been so excited. I am a miniature collector and had visited the shops in Passage Jouffrey (sp?) this July. I ate as many macarons as I could but never got one from Laduree though I did stare at the windows in one on the Champs-Elysee.
