Your Macaron Opinion Requested...

Your astute opinion is requested.
Please tell me why you love Paris macarons. Are you over-the-top nuts about them the way I am? Will you only buy macarons at one particular place or do you try them from every patisserie you encounter walking around Paris?
Have you tried to make them at home?
Do you search for them on your home turf, hoping and praying 🙏 you'll find something close to a Parisien macaron?
Do you like the big individual macarons?
Or the tiny jewel-like macs..?
Will you try any flavor/parfum? Do you always buy the same flavors over and over? I ❤️ - citron, caramel and passion fruit, but I've bought a box of just one flavor. The brilliant colors are too tempting...
A favorite macaron place or story?
Do you collect the macaron boxes and find other uses for them?
Have you ever picked a pastry box out of the trash in Paris?...I have on a number of occasions. It's all for research 🔬 purposes and future still lifes. They're too pretty to throw away in my opinion.
One step out the door, do you immediately check your bag?
Just making sure everything is there, so no disappointments later bien sur.
Have you ever sneaked a bite inside the shop or just outside? A pêche mignon.
I'm working on a macaron project - still in the research stages...
And I would love to know what you think about Paris macarons...
Do macarons say Paris to you?
Macaron letters on Etsy just out of the oven.
Your opinions and thoughts appreciated.
BONJOUR PARIS MACARONS!

Paris Hair

Along with not bringing Boots to Paris I got a haircut before I arrived.
Big mistake! Everywhere I turn I see ponytails.
And top knots.

Straight out of a Toulouse-Lautrec painting
Like here at the Marie Bishara - Spring 2010 fashion show
If only I'd left a few scraggly hairs to pull up into tiny ponytail...sob...sob
A few more washer woman top knots

My Fr. friend, Anne pooh-poohed my insights. She does this updo every night at home after work and it's nothing new.
But to my extra-terrestrial eyes it looks like a tendance.
If you live in a place you don't notice what's right in front of your nez. What do you think?
Here's a top knot nuzzle
And a ponytail hug
Even guys are wearing it! His and her updos at the show - does this not say tendance/trend?
This guy is badly in need of a ponytail...non?
 BONJOUR PARIS TOP KNOTS!

Marie Bishara - Spring 2010

Yesterday I went to the Louvre Carrousel to get some more fashion shots..
AND THEY LET ME INTO THE SHOW!!!
Plus I got to stand with the photographers since I have un blogue de fashion...ahem. Well that's what I said as I waved my macaron biz card around...
You wait a longggggggg time, then it begins and then it's over too sooooon!
Fluid, soft springy looks...
Loads of brilliant color and the designer, Marie Bishara is Egyptian so some influences were evident...
Silky, layered drapery is big for Spring 2010...
And lingerie looks...

In the end the parade of looks comes out...
It went sooooo fast!
Altogether a very yummy experience!
I could so easily do this again!
All photos thanks to my little point & shoot Canon Who knew?
Later the models appeared...
Ready to drop by Gerard Mulot for some berries? I was...
But then they couldn't fit into this berry number...
BONJOUR PARIS FASHION!
I'll be back for more in 2010!
Fashion report:PARIS, October 8, 2009 (AFP) - A soft femininity throughout, often with a lingerie-inspired and sometimes a bucolic note, mark the wardrobe women next summer, given the parade of ready-to-wear that completed Thursday, October 8 in Paris. The collections have "something more intimate, for all such materials and colors lingerie, all these transparencies, this fluidity, femininity," said Cyril Rahon, buyer of Galeries Lafayette - a bucolic vein with ample white robes studded with strawberries and peasant blouses...

Paris Boots

I did not bring any boots to Paris!
quelle horreur
What was I thinking ? ? ?
*Note petit touches of red...ahem
Anne sent me off to the Carrousel at the Louvre to catch the fashion scene...
Sky high boots bien sur!
OK all heights are on view...
Strappy boots too...
The booted kiss - kiss...
A boot-free woman! What? L'interdit!
Not exactly boots, but a lot of leg covering on "a very tall drink of water" as they say (not in France). An escaped model in the Metro?
Later I had a tall drink of Perrier at Le Select...and tried to sketch those Frenchies.
Granted, if you ate one of these at Angelina, you could never, ever fit into those tall, skin-tight boots!
And after all I am saving myself for next week's Salon du Chocolat!
BONJOUR PARIS TALL BOOTS!
