Solli’s Chocolate 🍫 Mascarpone Cheesecake

Yesterday I got the call 📞

Naturally I went running over. Fortunately her cheesecake did not cause another big storm in Paris like last week.

This is Solli’s tiny slice 😦 Practically transparent! Not fair.

On Wednesday I went to buy stamps for your letters 💌 Houdini. No Eiffel Towers stamps left.

Naturally I went into Galleries Lafayette Gourmet  for the weekly browse.

Pierre Hermé’s  Mosaïc  Cheesecake called out to me.

And his cherry 🍒 crumble mini tarte..

Looking at the pictures…I got such a yen I had to run to Picard’s for their slice of lemon cheesecake 🙄 Pas mal in a pinch 🤏🏻

There was ice cream 🍦 Everywhere in GLG.
I fell victim to Pistachio😀
Galleries Lafayette suggests you dress like a bubble 🫧
Musée d’Orsay suggests wear Summer white
Lace like Mrs.B in Venice.

Last night it looked like this. I will check today 👍
In the Metro I saw this a

Which was mailed out yesterday📮 No fork included but the napkin is.

I see it is OK for men to wear shorts en Paris, now. Trendy friends were there in shorts last week, too, with Maman in dresses. Thirty plus years ago, I packed knee-length shorts for my sons and husband (LaCoste knit shirts on top, and top-sider shoes were OK) and was embarrassed at my faux pas.

Everyone is wearing shorts 🩳 this summer. Much more than in the past.

Hope you get to swim tomorrow in the Seine…that would be pretty historic! The pistachio ice cream covered in pistachios looks delicious. Love your Paris picnic letter. ❤️

Sollis choc cheesecake was as beautiful as anything in the shop vitrines. Could we have her recipe? DONT go swimming in the Seine!

There is a link at the top paragraph to A recipe. It’s cheesecake with Mascarpone, so much lighter than Philly Cheese cake. She used plain Italian chocolate cookies instead of Oreos, which have Palm Oil.

Pistachio ice cream and the blackberry mousse( not sure what it is) would be my choices, along with anything lemon (except cheesecake, as I’m one of those rare people that don’t like cheesecake.)

Be glad of it. Cheesecake is not skinny food for sure

Perhaps you should wade…no dunking your head under and no swallowing water! 🏊 🏊‍♀️ 🦢

It’s not like at the beach. No wading area. I arrived After the swimming was over. I’m thinking about it….

How was it? Last night a pastry chef brought a Basque Cheesecake to a JULY 4th BBQ. Not my favorite.

  8. What an honour to have my chocolate cheesecake painted by you darling <3 Love it! Very beautiful and elegant! Thanks for coming over, always a pleasure and fun to chat with you :-) And to my defense I must say I had many slices of the cake before you came, half of it was already gone!! I saw some clips on IG on people who went and had a swim in the Seine yesterday, looked nice and refreshing! And they said the water was quite warm, 27 degrees!

Your paintings are rich and luscious.. And the photos of the pastries are so nice. I'm happy to see them even though I can't eat them....Visual impressions last longer for me than eating..
