Mardi 12 mars Stripes R IN
When J. wrote me,
"STRIPES are it for Spring",
I thought You’re kidding?
"STRIPES are it for Spring",
I thought You’re kidding?
When aren't stripes IN in Paris?
You can't miss the black and white stripes at Sephora cosmetics.
Their iconic little striped bags are easy to spot in Paris.
But Zara told me J. was right.
The shop windows were singing out stripes
Le Bon Marche says wear stripes in Palm Beach (or 'Pam Bitch' as the Fr Girl kept repeating over and over).
Vertical stripped pants at least give one the illusion of thinness
Same for a single black stripe down the center of a white dress..
Unlike this horizontally stripped mini coat (short coats are IN so you get double points with this one)
.
Kids can wear stripes going any which way lucky duckies.
The same goes for your striped cat very IN right now in Paris.
Love your theme posts!
ReplyDeleteEspecially fashion ones.
Or the red and white H and M bags..:)
ReplyDeleteSo after saying I never see florals on QC women..yesterday I went shopping with my daughter and sure enough we saw florals..pants..blazers..
lovely ankle length horizontal beige and white striped skirt:)
What a kittie!
Que de rayures, que de rayures! Paris, la ville zèbre! (Paris, the zebra city...) Good one, Carol. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle) PS: Shopping for my "big birthday" present, the iPad mini in two days with Junior. Can hardly wait! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks to your many stripe posts I am totally convinced that stripes were invented by the French. Hmmmm....since they come in both slimming verticals (I personally never met a vertical stripe that made me look any thinner but I believe the theory) and fattening horizontals (personally verified!) could the stripe be a French invention for sorting out the slim French from the fat foreigners? A bit passive-agressive? non?
ReplyDeleteGreat post, but I think there's something missing: what about Bear??!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your living-in-Paris posts. Looks like you're having a fabulous time.
I'm amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that's both equally
ReplyDeleteeducative and entertaining, and let me tell
you, you've hit the nail on the head. The issue is something that too few people are speaking intelligently about. Now i'm very happy that I found this during my hunt for something regarding this.
