A New Hat at AAWE Paris

A few weeks ago, when J. said, “would you like to go to the AAWE Christmas Bazaar at The American Church” I said sure.

Wednesday afternoon I went to the presse preview of the annual Fine Arts La Biennaleat Grand Palais 🤸‍♂️

So lovely to be back after being closed several years for refurbishment - definitely one of Paris’ grandest monuments.

Every mid-November it’s annual travel sketchbook time in Clermont-Ferrand.

I left early Saturday morning in pitch dark to catch the 7am train🚊from Bercy. I even left extra early 🙄 Still I got lost going out at the wrong metro exit. At last we arrived to a warm, sunny day - highly usually for normally freezing 🥶 Clermont-Ferrand in the Auvergne mountains.

For ‘retail therapy’ at la Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine at Trocadero, as a distraction…

Foolishly I went Sunday afternoon to the Louvre 

When it is crowded like a madhouse.

I returned to the Salon du chocolat this morning (9:55 at opening time).

Mainly because I ate 😋 all the samples I collected to give my copyshop guy from opening night.

Sial Paris 2024 - Part 2

We went back to SIAL yesterday after a day of deep-induced sleep 💤 therapy,  cold showers & ice 🧊 bucket immersions. I don’t think it was enough…

Melun Fête son Brie

On Saturday, Bear 🐻 and I took the train to Melun, a 25 minute train ride from Gare de Lyon.

Melun is home 🏠 to an extra-aged, deliciously creamy Brie cheese.

Yesterday, 5:30, I was running 🏃‍♀️ to musee Cognacq-Jay before it closed.. always last minute. I turned into rue Elzevir

This Frenchie was walking towards me in the middle of rue Elzevir. Natch I shot her…then smiled inanely, sort of apologizing.

We used to only go to deluxe afternoon teas at posh hotels pre-Instagram days…
