Afternoon Tea at Payard, original watercolor, 9" x 12"
Maitresse and I have been emailing since July when she noticed I "visually trope". Meaning I figuratively jump from subject to subject finding connections between things that appear unconnected (I think..?) We call it "scatter brained". The French call it Du coq à l'âne. M./Lauren Elkin is a writer, critic, blogger, scholar.
More cups! I love the details at Payard Patisserie. You look down and there are tea cups on the mosaic floor tiles. You look up and there are molded croissants in the plaster reliefs on the ceiling.
We laid our cards on the table first thing...Our MOO Cards! Hers are all of Venice and mine are all macarons

I hope you have a safe and happy holiday and a great new year!
