Taking Tea with...Maitress

Payard PatissierieMaitresse,Lauren Elkin says I "visually trope". I figuratively jump from subject to subject finding connections. Friends say I'm "scatter brained". The French call it Sauté du coq à l'âne. Lauren is a writer, critic, blogger, scholar and the author of, Flâneuse, Women Who Walk the City.
I love the details at Payard Patisserie. Look down and see tea cups on the floor. Look up and molded croissants in the ceiling.

I was early so I ordered Mint tea and waited...enfin Maitress arrived
We laid our cards on the table first thing. Our MOO Cards! Hers are all Venice and mine are all macarons
Maitresse/Lauren drank Earl Grey..she's in New York from Paris for just a few days.
Payard Macarons and Cherries, original watercolor, 9" x 12"
I love all the yellow striped boxes and ribbons and cards at Payard
