Carol, I thought this would never get here! It feels as though the world is about to be set right with a lot of work from everyone! They are beautiful, I agree! Thanks Carol!
I have put this on my blog as l think everyone shoud live by it.I watched it all day in the UK and he was in his office at 7 this morning and all his guys had to be there as well, he means what he says,Jill xx"Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it′s not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won′t. It′s whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere."
I stayed up 'til after 1am watching EVERY dance they did at all the balls!! LOL I think they are a very sweet couple. He and she are elegant and lovely together. There's an innocence and I sense a real support of each other with them, isn't there?Sue
Our whole nation just seems so full of hope, and this man has instilled in us so much anticipation and happiness, despite the troubling news all over TV and in our lives now. (I wrote on flickr, too, that I was amazed no one I saw on TV even mentioned the significance of the music they danced to-- "At Last." Such an appropriate choice, and beautiful. Glad you pointed it out, Carol!) They're a lovely couple. I'm so glad they're where they are!
So wondefulWhat a pair of fabulous people. Tears in my eyes.love, ann
I am happy for you that you got the President you wanted. I didn't wanteither candidate who ended up in the race. I am a conservative.I know this is probably an exciting time for you. What I like about yourwebsite is that it isn't political--it is, for the most part, about Paris.About half of the country voted for Obama and half of the country didn't.As soon as you bring politics in, you please half of the people anddisplease half of the people. It is your website, obviously. However, Ijust ask that politics be left out, or be neutrally presented. I know I canjust delete the days which contain politics, but they do get me off on thewrong foot, rather than that little moment of happiness when I get to thinkabout Paris, breakfast, chocolate, pastries, tea cups, etc.Anyway, I am not meaning to offend. I am just giving another point of viewand making a request.By the way, I love my Angelina's watercolor I got from you. It is proudlydisplayed on my "kitchen eating area" wall. Thanks again.
They DO look happy!
Thanks for the AT LAST link.I giggled with happiness watching them dance together. The power of LOVE, indeed!!!xoxo

Aren't they the BEST?We are sooooo lucky :)
And in his speach he quoted from the best dancer of all!
At Last Lyrics by Etta JamesAt last, my love has come alongMy lonely days are overAnd life is like a songOh, yeah, at lastThe skies above are blueMy heart was wrapped up in cloversThe night I looked at youI found a dream that I could speak toA dream that I can call my ownI found a thrill to rest my cheek toA thrill that I have never knownOh, yeah when you smile, you smileOh, and then the spell was castAnd here we are in heavenFor you are mineAt last
Beyonce did a magnificent job!
I should have gone there!!!! It was an historical moment for sure!
Despite your living in France, I have never seen such an attractive couple, where one of them led an important country. Pretend English is not my first language to best understand this sentiment.
nice cup, nice couple !!! China problems in the future ?xoxoMicha
The best first dance ever. Funny, I had the same title for my blog post today. I was so inspired that I grabbed my husband and son and danced with them too.
It was way too late here, to watch the tour of the inaugural balls, but when I read about and watched them dance to that song, long on of my favorite, I felt that the world could be whole again.Good luck, Mr. President,Good luck, America!
Oh put a croissant in it Diane/Debbie Downer :(
I cried the whole day. It was so great.
Love hearing from you
