Les Patterns Répéter

I had planned to post on something else altogether. But as I was searching for pictures these motifs répètés kept popping up. Have you ever walked past a Parisien patisserie where the window was not full of delicious repeated pastry patterns?

Fr marché are full of innovative repeated arrangements of vegetables, fruits and whatever.

Velib lined up on many streets one after the other.

Is the origin patterns répéter Baron Haussmann?

Every Parisien café supplies plenty of visual patterns.

 Ardoise listing the day's specials.

Your petit dejeuner OJ.

Ice cream cups, cones, flavors = patterns of Paris.

Visual motifs répètés in a candy shop.

Knowing every street corner has a street sign announcing the arrondissement.

Illustrator Margaux MotinMargaux Motin draws repeatedly Fr girls wearing iconic scarves.

Repeating a brand in every form imaginable - nobody does it better than the Fr -think Vuitton, Dior, YSL

A Parisien artist outside Notre Dame creating sillouettes portraits from black paper, his sissors are ready to do yours.

Pylones grater on Amazon A pattern the Parisiens can't get enough of - they shred their fromage on Pylones' Tour Eiffel.
All pictures were taken on 3/21/09
Do you have fav repeated Parisien patterns?

  16. Repeated patterns of "identically dressed" guys and gals (waiting to get a sandwich at lunch) lined up for 20 minutes just to get inside to order. They are all so beautiful but similar...definitely "patterns répéter

  18. My favorite Parisien pattern is Paris Breakfast - always a breakfast, er, feast for the eyes! :-)

I am a little perplexed about the Eiffel tower graters: how in the world can you hold them? The opening for your fingers is so low (just above the arc at the bottom).
May just be that it is me who got too much Parmesan in the brain. ;-)
